Tell that to Rebecca Aguilar of Fox DFW - she badgers him in an ambush interview - until he's in tears. Perhpas she's never had to defend herself or property. What a disgrace to 'the press'

That's horrible. She should be ashamed of herself. They said he BROKE NO LAWS. I'm glad he has another gun, and if another low life breaks in....well, this man "ain't no patsy", they'd better run in a zig zag pattern. LOL

Again I say, Good for him!!

How dare you people say he is a low life.....NO MATTER WHAT, he could have been detained til police arrived, shot in the leg but to shoot him from behind in the back of the head.......He was my brother, a father and son!!!!!!!!!! Stacy, what if it was your brother, father or son, would you react the same way.....After the first shooting, he should have taken measures to ensure his property was protected......

Police are trained to shoot to kill. This 70 year old man did not know if this this man, your brother was armed or not.

If it were MY brother, father or son, I'd be sad, but sadly, there are consequences for bad decisions. I would guess this is NOT the first time your brother did something like this; this is the first time he got caught in the act. He picked the wrong business this time.

Try that on an intruder some time - let us know how it works out for you... How dare you.

That's hollywood stuff. Even trained officers would be hard pressed to pull that off under stress.

Amen....I stand by what I said! Good for Mr. Walton. Glad he's got another gun. Maybe word will get out, and the criminals will stay away from his place of business.

When does he get the other two guns back???

Victims Sister, we 'dare' quite easily. If he broke into my place, I'd have done the same thing and smiled while I did it.

Low-life thugs have got to learn they can't rip people off and expect the innocent folks to lie down and take it. We won't. And thanks to that new castle law, we don't have to do it out in our cars and such either.

Simple fact: you attempt to steal or cause others harm, you expect to die.

I will give no warning shots if someone breaks into my place in the middle of the night. I don't know if they're armed or not, I don't know if they want to kill me or not. But I will operate on worst-case scenario, period. I'm certainly not going to tap them on the shoulder politely and ask "Pardon me Sir, but you seem to be in my place. Do you mean to do me harm?"

No...my answer will be "bang!!"

Your brother, that father and that son, should have gotten out and made a living some legal way, not trying to rip off other people's brothers, fathers, or sons.

You know, I have a friend who had trouble with someone repeatedly breaking into his tool shed. He never saw the perpetrators, or he'd have shot them, however, one day he posted on the door a target from when we were at the range one day.

Funny thing...the break-ins stopped.

Guess the threat of death really works, huh? Personally, I would rather he caught them in the act. Much easier to prevent them from breaking into others' places that way.

I think if Mr. Walton drives as well as he shoots, he is fine behind the wheel of a car!!! LOL

I can only hope to be able to shoot like that if the need ever arises!!

Close quote:

You should have kept him home. He had been at this mans home I think it was 4 times. Criminals who break into people’s homes and places of business pose a clear threat to the person in the home. No one has time to sit down and talk about values, how is he feeling.
You and your family if you really are his sister, some folks get a kick out of posing and being drama like. Anyway, if your his family You should have done something. It is not up to me to analyze some criminal. I am not Spock and do not mind/meld. Nor do I mind read. This elderly gentleman was put in a horrible position by 'your brother,' Your family owes him an apology!
Don't look for sympathy from honest folks it isn't gona happen hon, not from me. Many people serve food, give their time & money, to charity. All this extra work, care and effort done in addition to already full lives, living by a budget ourselves, so don't ask us to give our lives or our limbs in behalf of someone who clearly does not care about us as they break into our homes. I just read the end of your post actually angry at Mr Walton. I quote: elderly man for not and I QUOTE:“After the first shooting, he should have taken measures to ensure his property was protected.…” Let me ask you this, If your brother had killed Mr Walton, would you be making excuses for him then too? He is dead now and there is no doubt in his mind/soul who was at fault.
