Have loved viewing the Michele Torr video (the one which includes her walking to the microphone) "ESC-Luxembourg-Michele Torr-Ce Soir je t'attendais 1966" posted May 17, 2009 by EuroRainbow.
And now just happened upon another video of her singing the same song, only more delicately leading up to the chorus. It's fantastic! Absolutely love it! So much fun to have found it.
It's Ce Soir je t'attendais video by inachansons posted July 9, 2012. Michele Torr appears so vulnerable like in her 'Only You'(black/white) video. LOVE!

Michele Torr has a French website (I don't understand French though), and her Wiki page is very interesting as it explains her Ce Soir je t'attendais performance, representing Luxembourg, only finished 10th of 18 entrants. There is criticism of the performance, which is surprising since it's one of my all-time favorites. Michele Torr is 65 yet continues touring; her website shows tour dates in France through March of 2013. Would love to see her in concert. So unfortunate she isn't able to tour here. Her last release was a compilation of religious songs. Interesting.

Yeah, Wiki explains her last album release was of religous songs in November of 2012 ("Chanter C'est Prier"). Wonder what religion?

Interesting. "Ave Maria" and "Amazing Grace" are two of the songs on that album.

Crazy. Only 295 views of that inachansons video of Ce Soir je t'attendais. It'll probably register 305 soon as I've probably viewed it about 10X today. Just love it.

Do you remember your friend Greta from Asheville? I tried to email you, but I guess you have cancelled that account. How is everything going? Hugs, Greta

Greta!
Have been wondering about you lately. Had to close that e-mail account and personal website--too easily hacked since I use library computers and have minimal computer skills (hunt and peck). Resigned to talking to myself on this forum for about the past four years. Better than belligerent chat forums. I just write stuff about YouTube videos--a favorite thing that's been going on since commenting France Gall's smile in numerous of her videos is so much like your own. Up at Lake Tahoe now. Where are you? What are you doing?
Hugs back--Bruce

Greta...couldn't find much when searching you online months ago, but quite a bit comes up now. Just read over your 'Depriving the Symbol...' on Albert Camus--it's very interesting and thought provoking. We have such different ideas. I've never liked the same writers that you do, but your writing is still very interesting. The computers today are going ultra slow at the library, unable to read it in full (limited time on public computers) but will come back to it. Also, it looks like you may be working at a fancy French restaurant in Chicago.

...still don't know what the French (or Italian in many cases) means, but love the videos for the melodies, etc.

Greta...just read your 'Depriving...' in full. Unable to understand Camus in high school, I (naively?) concluded 'The Stranger' was "completely devoid of love" when asked by a teacher in class. Noticed near your conclusion the emphasis on hatred. I'll need to read 'Depriving...' numerous times since I'm slow to comprehend. But as much as I can tell, it seems like excellent writing. One other thought--Camus existentialism brings to mind Karamazin's story conclusion of 'The Island of Bornholm'(?) and the teardrop in an ocean. The film 'Suddenly Last Summer' also (Tennessee Williams).

But those religious songs sung by Michele Torr...noticed in one of her YouTube videos she's singing Ava Maria while wearing a priest's collar. So it may be something like Roma (Rome) Power [Tyrone Power's daughter] singing Christmas songs(insert icon with whimsical face scratching its head here). What happened to Greta? Lost in cyberspace.
