Most of the crimes against blacks these days are committed by other blacks. As for slavery, it ended nearly 150 years ago. There are no living former slaves or slaveowners. You and others keep talking about slavery ended 150 years ago. If everything had ended like you claim, why in 1964 a civil rights bill was passed? The answer: blacks didn't have the very rights that you and I have. Plus whites have had a 400 year head start in the US by keeping blacks down.
Obama is a firm believer that black Americans have faced and continue to face challenges. He himself faced it at Harvard. What year was that...1980's. And yes, blacks and other are entitle to civil rights. Its white people that make civil rights difficult for people. Its people like you that keep saying "stop living in the past". But its people like you that keep making it the present.

You're right. Obama doesn't have anyones back, black or white. What has he done for black people since he was elected? He's nothing but a bag full of promises. Nancy Pelosi has Obama's back so she can run the country and most of the folks in Congress and the Senate trying to force their idea of free health care aren't black either.
