Dudes need to, like I said there "16 year old", look for a steady good paying job, reflect on their own natural skills & develop these into a CAREER. Grow up! "Raw/point blank?" What a bunch of gang wannabe fairy land crap. There IS a REAL World out there! It's a GLOBAL world. Not a "little gang/hood bubble on the block."

It does not matter how old he was, where he lived, the color of his skin, if he was a good student or not, a good friend or not. None of that matters. He ran (who cares what for), he got caught, he had a gun, officers told him to drop it, he did not comply, the officer defended his life and the lives of his fellow officers. It is a shame that it had to happen that way, but don't play with guns and the police. It's not a game. A 16 year old can kill you just the same as a 60 year old, what would you do?
naw there was only two cops dumb ass and there was no point in the situation were the cop had to tell him to drop a gun even if he had one witch he didnt, that cop is just quick to shoot
plus that cop shot some one else in the past too

If you don't want to get shot by police, don't point guns at them. That seems like a pretty simple rule to follow. Why have sympathy for anyone who can't follow that rule?

I disagree. According to the case, he's a hero in my book and about 98% of everyone else. 16? Gun?(That's wrong), pointing at homeowner in a break in?(That's a.....Wrong)....Firing at a cop chasing you? Priceless! Another criminal gone. Nothing personal, just business. Do the crime pay the price.
well said ex , people just dont get it

Police do a great job! We should pray for their safety and that they make the right decisions.

I had a chicken sandwich yesterday, you didn't see me with it in my mouth, or at my house. so i guess that means i never had one. Didn't the autopsy show that Evan shot himself first, followed by the officers shots . BTW Yes he did have a gun, nickel plated i believe.

Two of my kids are cops and if they had to shoot a 16 yr old im sure they would be upset, but like they say, it isnt their job to get hurt or killed so 16 yrs old or not, if he ran from the police and drew a gun on them, then it boils down to its either him or the cop thats gonna die, and i wouldnt want it to be one of my kids.

No one in their right mind would try to taze a person that they think has a gun. That would be stupid. What dummy brings a tazer to a gun fight?

Just reading over everyones post shows how the world is based of assumptions. Everyone needs to know just because you hear something doesnt mean it is the truth. I grew up with Evan, I lived down the street from him almost my whole life. My brother was best friends with this kid and he would have done anything to help any of his friends and all his true people know this. He was murdered because the cop saw a cell phone and assumed it to be a gun. Shot in the Chest, back, neck. Now explain to me how this is not murder?
RIP Lil Brother!!

He was a dead teen the day he was born. He chose to be a criminal he deserved to be shot. You can't take what you want out of life at the point of a gun. the world is better off without him... in fact lets make sure he had no brothers and sisters
