City Flats Hotel opens in downtown Holland

Some future guests attending this year's Tulip Time Festival have already booked a room in a new downtown Holland hotel.

Maybe they hired the same contractors that completed the over-hyped, incredibly useless, costly and hideously ugly Rosa Parks Circle!

Economy not booming? Hey, build a hotel! Just ask the J.W. Marriott if they're enjoying their whopping 12% booking rates right now! Lots of tax kickbacks and no boost to the economy. What a real deal for GR!

tried the phone number as well and got the same tones. googled it and found an article on WZZM website that could connect you with the website. Went to the website and it appears to have links on it, but you click on them and nothing happens. Called the 800 number listed got a live person, asked for the number of the restaurant, they wouldn't give it to me but offered to transfer me. So I was transfered there and all I got was an answering machine with the hours and an offer to return my call if I wanted to leave a message. Great start with the customer service. I hope it goes better when I get there to try it out tonight.

I had a chance to check out the restaurant and it was fabulous, it has a real Chicago feel and the decor is modern and unique. The food was great and I am really looking forward to dining out on the patio in the spring/summer with the great view looking down over HOlland, I definately recommend checking this one out.
I also heard they may trial some live music in the future.
This business is a great addition to HOlland Downtown.

The city that appears is where your internet service provider happens to be routed through at the time.
I'm from Holland also but mine shows up as Dorr, Otsego, Zeeland and/or Hopkins.

Yeah, the website is a waste. The only link on it that works is the one for reservations. Nice. I'd like to go for lunch if they are open, but I can't find any info.

I agree that it is a hideous looking building from the outside. I also hate the name of the place...its just not appealing to me in the least. I'm not thrilled about all of the parking and lane changes that it made along 7th st. either. Tulip Time is going to be an even bigger parking/driving nightmare now.

I find it very frustrating to try and use a website that doesn't function. I would like to get some info on staying there but their site is useless.
I think Holland could certainly benefit from a new, unique concept in lodgeing/dining but it would be cool if we could find out more about it!

I love the contemporary design, very refreshing for Holland. I think it will appeal to a more trendy client. Who under 60 goes to tulip time anyways?

Better than the weedy lot that used to be there...but they could have used another parking lot instead of a hotel.

Perhaps if nothing else good comes out of it, this will help make the world a better place.
I would however suggest a third button for a super-turbo flush and an extra large flushing tube to handle pads etc.

The hotel is absolutley amazing!! For those of you who think differntly that is a shame. The hotel has brought something great to downtown HOlland with its unique and modern decor, you couldnt ask for anything better!! I cant begin to say enough great things about the restaurant,it truly is an amazing dining experience!!!
The building sits in a perfect spot of downtown Holland. From every window in the building you have a great view of either the water or of lovely downtown. What else could you ask for? The unique design of City Flats Hotel shows how much thought and consideration they put in to bring something this great to HOlland. Congragulations to everyone who helped accomplish this, job well done!!!! For those of you who havent visited I hope your feelings change once you get there. For the rest, I hope you have a great time!!!
