It is great that a pediatric dentist is taking huge steps to make children like dentist visits more. The last thing I would want is my child developing poor dental hygiene habits because they don't like going to the dentist. I think when my kids are old enough, I will take them to a friendly pediatric dentist to help them develop good habits early on. http://myoremdentist.com/family-dentistry.php

I wish that more dentists focused on children. I am looking for a pediatric practice, but I haven't been able to find anything. My daughter is almost three, and I think it is time for her to start receiving dental care.

I agree with you Cory, I think that you should take children to pediatric dentists because they know how to treat children better than other dentists. The reason why they are so scared to go to the dentist is because they feel like place isn't kid friendly . I would know this because I was a kid once and going into an office as a kid if they didn't have anything for kids, it was hard to be comfortable.

What type of dentist should I get for receding gums? I wasn't sure if I need to get some serious work done from a dental surgeon or just a normal dentist. I guess it depends on the case. I'll ask my dentist and see what he thinks about it. http://abledentalgroup.com/service-areas/raym...

Finding a dentist while living on your own is a very challenging thing to do. I've never had to find one on my own before and I have no clue what to look for in one. Does anyone have any suggestions on what some of those qualities are so that I can find what I'm looking for?

There are not very many people in the dentistry world who are amazing with kids. There's quite a few reasons for that, but there are ways around this. More colorful offices make a difference. A nice, cheery attitude also goes a long way.

It's always good to meet a pediatric dentist during one of those open house events. The last time I attended an open house like that was when I took my daughter. Together we were taught several things of how the department works and what things they can do to take away the fear that my daughter had about dentists. http://thesmileacademy.com/
