Well after reading all the post on here about the Police Department and the cincinnati.com story maybe it's time for the chief to step down. 30 years you have done a GREAT job but as the CCSO said times are changing in Law Enforcement and you have not changed with the times. Have Officers on the road without computers? In an area being called the white OTR in the story? It has also been said around town the chief is telling Officers who they can and can not arrest.
The Chief has built a good department the Officers I have meet at IGA are very nice and as CCSO said in a post on Topix would love to be out arresting the drug deals or any bad guy but when the Chief ties the Officers hands.

The shake up in the police dept. has opened new doors for the residents of Felicity. Now is the time to get involved in the Crime Watch program,Fine and council meetings.

It's easy to do. You can get the forms for Crime Watch at the bank. Just get as much info as you can. If you know the person, give their name. Give a description of the person or persons involved, give the location of the crime and state what crime it is. Take the form back to the bank or drop it in the night deposit slot. If you have a cell phone take a picture. You don't not have to sign your name to the form if you don't want to.

A lot of people in town are known by name and or description by the Sheriff's Office. If we can get just one drug dealer or one thief off the streets a week it's worth it.

Things are starting to happen. Law Enforcement is finally starting to listen. People of Felicity who want things to change needs to speak up now. Come to the meetings. Not only do we have the chance to get rid of some of the drugs, we have the opportunity to get some of the run down buildings condemned and torn down. There is already a list of places being considered and has been for a while. Those who want this needs to get involved. All are welcome.

the village would have money if the police would make drug arrest the village gets to keep a % of the money. If I was leadership of felicity I would contact small villages in other countys. I have found the leadership of the village is stuck on the old ways and not even looking at the new ways to make money. The old saying spend money to make money. IE Manchaster PD. K9 unit the village spend little over 10000 to start the program but the team has made will over 150000 in drug arrest that money goes right back into the drug fund of the village. Why is Felicity the only police department in the county not doing the O.V.I grant this month? The village would get money and all officers would be paided for working by the state. Your village is the ONLY village in the county where the police officers do not have computers in the cars. This is a huge help for the officers for safey and also the money side. The arrest made in mayors court will pay for the computers in the first month.

Money is 100% right. Outskirts your wrong not all of the Felicity PD is doing that. Maybe 2 Officers well now 1. But the rest of the PD are great guys who try to do a job with there hands tied. Money said Felicity is the only PD without computers in the car and he is 100% right. When I am making a traffic stop because of my computer I know if the owner of the car is a wanted person had been arrested and what for. With making a drug bust and letting them go if its just weed its a tickett can take the car but the department has to pay for all the paperwork to cange over cost more to do that then most cars in that area are worth. Money had hit it on the head Felicity Could be making money the month with that grant. I am working an OVI detal tonight in the NR area from that grant. I just thank Ray needs to step down as chief hes been a great person to me but law enforcement is changing and with his rules are tieing the hands of his officers. Its my understanding he will not let the department have computers in the cars because on 1 officer years ago looking at porn in the Office. I can tell you that the computers in the cars will not get on the web just the CAD program we use as Officers. I see why most people who live in the Village are upset with the Officers but when there hands are tied becuase of the leadership
as Money said they cant do the job I am sure 95% of them would like to be doing... Change is good maybe its time

So going down all the forms for Felicity this is the only one I found that is 100% true. The Village needs change. The other day on wlwt someone said the Village is turning into the White Lincoln Heights and I feel this is true. Living here for almost 25 years the area is changing and changing fast. In other post and the newpaper people saying the drugs are mostly in the trailer parks that is true but a very large amount is in the Village. I see Police Officers on the weekends when 99% of this stuff going on just sitting in the cars doing nothing. So I asked myself why is that. I found that over the weekends the Village is covered by AUX Police Officers or none paid Officers. Is this bad? I dont think so but why not have 1 or 2 of the paid Officers working the weekends. Do we even have 2 paid Officers now? CCSO said"I just thank Ray needs to step down as chief hes been a great person to me but law enforcement is changing and with his rules are tieing the hands of his officers. Its my understanding he will not let the department have computers in the cars because on 1 officer years ago looking at porn in the Office" I working in the trucking feild and have a computer in my truck for paperwork how can law enforcement do there job if you only give then 1/4 of the gear to do so? Dont say money because i was given a ticket years ago in the village and when i paided the fine the check was made out to the village. RAY YOU AND I HAVE BEEN FRENDS FOR A VERY LONG TIME LET THE COPS OF THE VILLAGE DO THERE JOBS HELP THEM DO THERE JOB OR GET OUT OF THE JOB. MY HOME IS TURING TO SH^T BECAUSE OF THE DRUGS
