This city clerk is not an elected official. She serves at the Mayor's pleasure. Who gets on televison slandering their boss and ever expect another city to hire them? Hell, Wal Mart wouldn't hire her now. Sounds to me like this clerk knew she was getting fired and decided to take drastic measures - doing a KOMO interview before she could be served with her termination paperwork. According to the Auburn Reporter, this clerk knew she was trying to be served with paperwork which she states she believes are her termination papers. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Sounds like a vindictive, desperate, over paid city employee taking drastic and frankly embarrasingly desperate action to try to force the mayor to not fire her as the mayor had obviously planned to do and this clerk obviously knew was coming. Let's hope our mayor is strong enough to not put up with that kind of manipulation. I say fire the ungrateful clerk and if she threatens to sue tell her to bring it on. As for the city council getting involved in a personnel matter shame on them. First hint you are fired is when there's a padlock on your office. lol sounds like nothing more than a manipulative older woman trying to save her neck of a paycheck in a bad economy.
