There used to be one and when it shut down people started going to the Outback Saloon. I do not think many stayed but still it is a fun bar. All should try it out....

Gay bar, white bar, black bar, tall bar, short bar, jewish bar, presbyterian bar, catholic bar. Special interests suck. Let's just enjoy bars with a variety of people, otherwise bland gets boring.

As a Buff Alum, I hated that there was no visible community presence in Boulder. No newspaper, no bar, no nothing... Boulder really needs a nice family bar... I know I'd fly back to visit more often.

There is no community presence in Boulder because some of us gave up on it long ago...When it became a "Nanny/Police" state, when they stopped the "Mall Crawl, when women were beaten to death with a baseball bat on their way home from one of these "bars"...
Boulder did it to itself when it went so fucking "PC"...Can't smoke, can't fart, can't______....
I used to love wandering the Pearl Street Mall, but I watched as it was over-run with idiots and have stayed away since...
The nostalgia, and eclectic feel that Boulder once had has been long gone for quite sometime...

I'm mad because there isn't ONE straight bar in Boulder. There also aren't any Black bars, Chicano bars, or Tibetian bars.

I guess I won't be going there anytime soon.

Mall Crawl is back.

Naked Pumpkin run was barely attented as last year everyone was ticketed.

Liek I said before...the Outback is a great bar. I always say we accept everyone....sometimes people test that. Don't. Have fun...relax and I am sure you will get a couple free drinks.

Boulder died After 1987....I have been away for a long time and had went back to see my old home town and it looks much the same but like moss has grown over it. Cant believe crossroads is gone, down town looks as dead also. I remember when I was young before there was no Pearl street nall there use to be parades going down pearl street and there was a department store in that tall building right off pearl(cant remember its name now). When the pearl st mall was first built it was Great! Holloween was just incrediable with thousands of people all in their costumes and fuled with alcohol...and other stuff. It was such a great hit that the "safety Police" had to close it down to protect us from having fun...Idiot boulder council! The early mall had cool shops and specialty stores. Me and my Friends would play at the two vidio arcades that were on the mall at the start. One next to ol Chicago and the other on the oppisite end of the mall. Small pizza places and hippie shops and stuff like that were all over at first. then later on the mall became "Respectable" and high end stores came in and totally killed the local feel of the place. Too much "Safety" and too much "Respectability" drove off the people that made the mall great. I hear that Toms Tavern is even gone...It was a good place to have grown up in, oh well...

Oh man, you have not had a good time until you have partied in a gay bar! Seriously! My wife and I spent our (I don't remember, maybe 20th anniversary) in a gay bar with our gay friends and it was a ROCKIN TIME. Good times, good memories. I think the world should LIGHTEN UP on the subject. ;-)

Why dosnt TV shows that have Gays ever show two guys in bed making out like they do with a man and woman? I never see that? I mean if being gay is so accepted now why isnt this being shown?

You are talking about mainstream media, which caters not only to pop culture acceptance but more so to majority interest. Remember gays (both sexes) are an extreme minority in the USA (estimated at around 3% or less of the pop) and the majority of TV viewers simply are not interested in watching same-sex make out in their sitcoms & dramas, although queers do have a TV presence (example: Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, where homosexual sex acts are referenced all the time.) If there were more money in it you would see a lot more gay kissing & sex and on TV, guaranteed (they stand to lose more "moral majority" viewers if they find something repulsive than they would gain with the few interested individuals). The question you brought up about TV is a lot more about money than morals, in my opinion.

You brought up a good point. Probably the biggest problem with the gay situation in America is that hetrosexual males find homosexual males kissing and making out with one another repulsive. Even though I have gay friends (of both sexes) I do not like to watch the males be intimate because it grosses me out (I will tell them to "get a room"), but the lesibians doing the same thing doesn't bother me. I think you do not see more men kissing each other on TV because hetrosexual males will quickly change the channel (as I would!) My thought is that this is not prejudice, it is just how hetrosexual men are "wired" in the same manner that gays cannot change their emotions either.
