I have seen this posted and talked about a few times on here, so I thought I'd ask. Does anyone have any facts or knowledge of this. I live pretty near by, and there arent allot of cats running around the town. Not now, but not really before.
If this is true, it is bad, but not nessessarily illegal. I believe you can trap/kill pretty much anything that wanders onto your propertry around here, as it is the owners responsibility to keep pets off others property. Please no yelling about this from you PETA folks. If your dog was tearing up my trash I deal with him in my own way. Of course, I dont leave trash out to get eaten up.
Anyhow, does anyone have any knowledge?

This was a rumor/joke that got caught up in the rumor mill of small town USA. And possibly passed on by restaurant competition. Don't believe everything you hear, and if you're really interested in the truth, just talk to the owner.

Cats are as good as chicken when properly prepared and will please any taste bud. I acquired a taste while in China and was impressed with texture, taste, price and availability.

I have never heard a single good thing about the owners. I doubt it's b/c of competition. The food Vandalia serves is over priced and tastes like cheap crap. The owners bragged about putting all the other resturants in town out of business as well. It wouldn't surprise me if these rumors were true.

I know lots of people who love the food at the Vandalia. Everyone has their own opinion and different tastes. Some people like Cajun food, some like plain, simple breakfast food and some like exquisite food.
Stay home and cook...cheaper, healthier, and don't have to worry about cat, dirty cooks, teenybopper waitresses, etc.

I was in there just recently. Place was clean, waitress was friendly and efficient and if they serve cat, well then, it's the best darned cat I've eatin' in a while!

Oh yeah, prices weren't any higher than anywhere else around.

Why doesn't this MORONIC RUMOR go away, because some pot stirring idiots keep dredging it up. So, you don't like Vandalia, then don't eat there. Simple!

I'll keep eating there, because I happen to like feline. Here, kitty, kitty. Meow!

I know the owner of the Vandalian, and live in Fayetteville. I understand how rumors spread but let's be honest. As for the owner talking smack about other restaurants, that wasn't him, it was an employee, we shall say for all intents and purposes, which no longer works there. The food may not be your style, but go by there during lunch, or dinner especially burger and sushi night. You might be surprised. As far as being overpriced, it's a small town, originial restaurant, and isn't any more expensive than the other great restaurants we have in our town. I mean come on people...really..cats? There has never been a surplus of cats running around town. I chalk this up to the fact that people in our town are responsible with their animals, and do not allow them to breed constantly. The animal shelter can only do so much. I know, I got my dog there. Don't believe such rumors, just go check out the food.

This is so stupid. Maybe check for those felines at the Chinese Buffet. That meat on the stick does look odd. This is a wonderful place to eat. The food is great and the service was exceptional. Sounds like some competition is jealous.

Only if they are other peoples cats I can trap, You don't think I would eat one of my own pets do you? Well, unless they die, then I eat them.
