Thank goodness they were all wearing helmets! I can't for the life of me understand why a helmet law is not reinstated. We have a seatbelt law for being in cars, yet a person is completely vulnerable on a motorcycle should an accident occur. The only chance they have for survival at times is the fact they have a helmet. I know there are many bikers who want to have the wind blowing through your hair who will have a negative response to this, but I really do care about your well-being. I would rather you have a sporting chance to live when a crazy driver pulls out in front of you or if you hit loose gravel or any other reason for an accident, than to know the pain your families will experience should they lose you due to your not wearing a helmet. Best wishes to all of those involved in this recent accident! I am glad you are still with your family and friends to continue to enjoy life!

Lab, As a long time rider it should be known that a helmet(DOT Approved) only has to pass a crash test of 13 mph. When I attended the Pa. Motorcycle safety course they tell you if you drop your helmet to the ground it could no longer protect you. I feel that the laws in place are on tap with American Freedom.Let THOSE WHO RIDE DECIDE! Best of wishes to all those riders involved in the crash and a speedy recovery!

Again, the 4 wheeler causes the accident. All people will remember is that motorcyclists were involved in an accident. Why can't we get other vehicles to respect us as we respect them?

Hey LAB: I,as a biker, truly believe that wearing a helmet is dangerous. One can see so much better without the helmet. And, the turning radius of our neck is so much more and easier without a full face helmet. The helmets protect you up to 13 mph. What good are they? LAB: Do you ride? Let those who ride decide.
