Whos looking out for me

Rochester, NY

Living in Rochester, I think our views differ from those of central and eastern NY. On two occasions I have sent email to Maffie's office asking why he voted a certain way on a particular issue (healthcare), only to be answered via a form letter stating the agenda of the Democratic party. I am not looing for a representative who supports the Democratic party, I am looking for someone who represents me.
On my last correspondance, May 2010, I asked for a response to my questions in something other than a form letter. It is now October, I am still waiting for a response.

Dan Maffei is not doing his job. He is supposed to represent us. Instead, he is nothing more than a patronizing yes man!

I brought an important issue to Dan Maffei and got a disinterested, patronizing attitude from him in return.

He promised he would look into it and that he would keep me apprised of its status. This was back in January ... I'm still waiting to hear from him.

As I said, he is not doing his job. He likes to tell people about all the town meetings he attends, but all he does is shove President Obama's agenda down everyone's throats and explains why he votes the way he does instead of actually LISTENING to what those people in the meetings are saying!

Yes, I am an angry voter, but I wouldn't be if our representatives were representing us!

Dan Maffei has stuck his neck out to do what is right for most Americans. At the same time he is successful in bringing federal money to Central New York for recovery (railroad). He has shown he is not a lockstep Democrat.

Did anyone watch the debates? Congressman Maffei hardly looked at Ms. Buerkle. He distorts her positions in TV Ads...such as "She believes global warming is a MYTH"...Huh? She clearly stated the jury's still out on that one. Too many unanswered questions. Mr. Maffei worked for Rep. Charlie Rangel for years and Mr. Rangel has a HOST of legal and ethic problems. Mr. Meffei votes for Nancy Pelosi's agenda over 96% of the time. She will NOT be the Speaker of the House next week because of her radical Liberal views. She guaranteed a Highly Ethical Congress under her watch. That didn't happen. Let's give our community a Fresh Start with someone who agrees with Ronald Reagan's policies. Obamacare is going to cost taxpayers more money and Dan Maffei thinks it's a good thing. WHAT?!

Congressman Maffei is a Democratic Puppet led by the Ultra Liberal but soon to be retired Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. He did not look comfortable in the debates with Ms. Buerkle. I agree with Elaine that he lies about her positions. It's time for the one-term congressman to RETIRE with Ms. Pelosi.

LOL- not a lockstep Democrat? He supported the Health Care debacle bill even when the vast majority of Upstate NY, and his district, opposes it! He's a Pelosi puppet a lockstep Dem. Vote out the bum!
