Blacks are killing each other in Fayetteville almost daily. One goes to the grave and the other to prison. Having been born in this city 55 years ago i have seen a lot of problems that are blamed on society, economic, poor school systems, poor paying jobs among a few. The black teenagers of the 70s 80s 90s and twenty first century have had the same advantages as all other races in this city. The blacks I grew up with at Pine forest high school in the 70s made a positive mark on Fayetteville. Please tell me why the killing is so out of control now. This is not intended as a racist post. thank you

I heard a song that went..........Let the brain breath, loosen the corn rows.Let the brain breath ..let the blood flow. This is the real world ..my dear bro.....you;ll die bro.....this is written..,so it must be so..... i wish this not so....... but the blood must flow..........
Let me tell you all this is a sad time we are living in!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the above posts---the murderous music and the violent pop culture are making their mark and taking their toll. The same thing is happening in Memphis. Every day another or two or three blacks are killed by other blacks. It is truly pitiful.

linden909..i too am a pine forest alum..i can say that in most cases the reason blacks are killing blacks is due to the breakdown of the family..too many moms are having kids way too young, or they are trying to work and be both parents, or both parents are sorry and leave their child to be raised by a grandparent or some other relative..many young black boys do not have the parental influence to push them into positive activities like recreational sports, boy scouts, and things that encourage positive character attributes..back in the 50s and 60s when blacks were fighting for equal rights, the family unit was still strong, and even the community was strong..with drugs, poverty, and other ills of society being so rampant, the black family has suffered the most..it is true that the segregation and racism that once bound African American is largely a thing of the past..we can be our own worst enemy..i grew up in Tiffany Pines, and retrospectively reviewed all of the friends i matriculated with..the ones who did not come from "traditional" family backgrounds were most often the ones who did not complete school, started getting involved in drugs and crime very early, and are now as 30 or older dead, incarcerated, or not much of a contributor to society in general..i wish we all could solve the problems facing us so we dont waste the sacrifices made by those in the civil rights era

I'm tired of all this fighting. I am so happy that we have a great man like obama leading the country. He will bring muslims & christians together and unite blacks & whites for the good of all. I believe we should promote the wonderful diversity of this great universe.

I am sorry but crazy liberals like tammy scare me to death! Obama is not jesus christ. Socialism is nothing new, it has failed in russia, germany, cuba, venezuela and vietnam etc. What will happen to this country when all the baby boomers have to retire? Who is going to pay for all the freebies then? They can't work forever. The middle class in this country need a break. I don't understand why liberals hate capitalism, christianity, individualism, fair taxes, military, successful people, constitution and unborn babies etc.

Tammy- you should really lay off that pipe. Fighting makes me tired too.I have to question how much you truly know about the islamic religion and their true agenda. I find it especially entertaining that you put so much faith into one man.The mere act of bringing MUSLIMS AND MUSLIMS together is impossible in itself. The only way that could be happen is a war with Israel. Maybe we should try and bring blacks and blacks together locally to start with. I'll be waiting to see how that turns out.

Just get rid of all the KFC's around here. Maybe they will all leave. At worst they will riot and just kill each other.

Spectrum, I suggest you move back to NY so you can breathe the clean air and live in harmony with the various inhabitants of that utopia of brotherhood, manners, and courtesy.
