I'll also add, I am not in favor of "home calls" which is undeniably the cause for many road loses for all teams.

A game should be called according to what actually happens on the court, regardless of uniform color.

Like last year, this year seems to suggest too much officiating in college basketball.

It has long been apparent that there are more stringent calls in NCAA basketball than in High School games, or NBA which bookend the college game.

I think the offense gets way too much flexibility in creating fouls in the college game officiating system. Dribbling into, or jumping into a defender needs to be addressed as it has too often been called in favor of the offense who in large creates the foul by initiating contact.

THAT is a big big negative for the purity of the game.
Kansas made 1 shot in the first 10 minutes or so.. How can you blame that on refs?

Anderson will field teams that are undisciplined. Win over their heads lose to weak teams. Just like when forrest city plays helena. Get a bunch of ninjas together and you can throw the records away. Shoot it before you lose it is their theory.
Record at home comes from homer officials letting them hand check and the offensive fouls go in their favor. On the road the calls go against them.
Well, do tell.

My point is, road games are very hard to win these days, regardless of who you are or what conference your team is in. I didn't blame the refs for Kanasas's loss, I used it as an example that road wins are not as common as they were only a few years ago.

To deny refs don't sway towards the home team is just incorrect.

I never said refs can't sway but its your own fault with a performance like that.

hahaha Yeah, Kansas looked terrible last night and quite frankly I was entertained. I'm not a big Kansas fan at all and it's always fun to see the underdog win.

Heads up - The Indiana @ Illinois game tonight on ESPN will be a good game as well. Indiana just cannot fare well at Illinois. So, it could be another #1 upset.

Who would even wanna be #1 next week?

Well at this point if Indiana loses it could be Michigan or Duke.. Michigan plays Michigan State next week, and Duke's games over the next week and a half include NC State, Boston College, North Carolina, and Maryland. Still doesn't look promising, hahaha

The Hogs go to Gainesville for the re-match on Feb 23, ... I figure those Gators will be a scrappy bunch.

Quit spouting off and give some facts to back up your claim that more teams lose on the road now that in previous years. Home court advantage has typically existed and that hasn't changed. Just because your beloved Hogs are 12-68 on the road in the past 10 years does not mean that it's a trend. This only signifies that Arkansas has sucked in basketball for the past 10 years. It would seem that Duke, UF, UNC, Michigan St. and others have won on the road without much problem. In fact most teams with 20 wins or more in a season must be winning on the road more than they are losing.

Looks like Vandy with their 2 conference wins were a scrappy bunch today. I thought after your Hogs won last week they were truly back and were going to run the table and win the NCAA tourney.

Look I'm an alum, but the road record for the past decade is horrendous and inexcusable. I give MA another season to improve, or the money people won't be happy.
