Inmates are citizens too. Learning a skill and work ethics will help many to find work and not be returning to prison.
The people in this country seem to think that inmates have no rights, that they don't count.
They forget that many inmates are first time offenders. They could be your family in there for vehicular homicide, fighting with someone who hits their head on concrete and dies, any number of accidents and poor decisions that our government has made a crime.
