Troopers charge trio of Brocton residents
PERRYSBURG - Three Brocton men face charges after an alert citizen reported suspicious activity to troopers stationed out of the Collins barracks.
Troopers were advised Friday by a Perrysburg resident of a vehicle being repeatedly parked in a business parking lot during off hours. The resident reported seeing three younger men exiting the vehicle, which had out of state plates. The trio appeared to be dressed in outdoor gear and would walk toward the J N Adams complex.
After obtaining the vehicle and occupants description, troopers monitored the area through the weekend.
Early Sunday, the vehicle was located, unoccupied, in the parking lot of the closed business. A check of the registration revealed it was a rental car. Authorities contacted the rental agency, which confirmed a rental agreement with an uninvolved female.
Additional state police personnel responded to the area, in an attempt to locate the vehicle's occupants. At daylight, the three occupants were observed walking from the complex, back toward the rental car. After failing to properly signal for a turn, the vehicle was stopped and troopers interviewed the occupants.
Admissions by all three men revealed no one had a valid driver's license, nor were any of them listed on the required rental agreement, providing them authority to operate the vehicle in New York state.
After conflicting stories, the three men, identified as Gregory A. Dzielski, 30. Mark R. Dzielski, 27, and Justin L. Eck, 30, all from the village of Brocton, were taken into custody.
Prior to towing the vehicle, troopers located a small amount of heroin, as well as a hypodermic syringe within the vehicle.
All were transported to the Collins State Police Barracks, where they were processed and charged with third-degree criminal trespass.
Mark R. Dzielski was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. The trio are due in Perrysburg Court on a later date.
