<quoted text>You can rest assured that you and your family aren't targets. If you do not sell/use drugs, then you aren't the target. If you do not hang/affiliate yourselves with any gangs, then you are not a target. Basically these crimes are mostly target specific. Not taking up for the rotten place at all b/c I'm outta here in Jan. But there is not a need to stay home after dark.
Unless you are an addict. And have no money. And REALLY need a hit. Then you need to find someone who’s unarmed, has money and probley won’t resist. Someone who’ll be scared. But it’s easier to just shoot em anyway. Easier to get the wallets and purses. No one left to identify you.

So.... is Rochester new Gotham City? Can you please dress up in a cape and protect us from the lawless hordes running free? When have you EVER heard about someone being robbed or murdered while visiting the city for a sporting event or concert? It doesn't happen. The vast majority of the crime here happens in very predictable ways - and in very predictable areas. Don't get me wrong: in the city you're going to see some dark faces on the streets - and that might bother your lily white sensibilities - but our city is safe.

Personally, I think that if we HAVE to get a new theater (I think the Auditorium is capable of being renovated), the idea of putting it in Brighton seems to make sense. Plenty of free parking and very close to major highways.

Just and FYI---you have to drive through Farmington to get to Canandaigua so its actually farther to go to the performing arts center. 2nd--the thruway is better maintained in the winter than ANY road I have ever driven on so winter driving is not going to be an issue. 9 times out of 10 the thruway is plowed right down to the pavement (unlike any street or expressway in Monroe County). I would be more inclined to go to a show at the race track than take my family into the city. Took my children to a soccer game last year and thank God we left early because the festival going on across the street ended in a pseudo riot with violence.

That'll be near that awesome indoor water park they built!
that's the park that was originally proposed for Henrietta. This proposal smells like something that's spread on the fields out there.
