Even if the Auditorium could be renovated, the City still did not submit the required Letter of Interest to the RBTL. Maybe the City thinks their above what's required. To be considered by the RBTL, you needed to respond. So much for support from the City. Another empty building soon. Maybe they will build more condo's.

If I understand correctly the RBTL plans of vacating the Auditorium Theater. The city is interested in renovating the it after RBTL leaves and bringing in another Theater Group. My concern is that the RBTL said that any of the cities that responded would be a 15 - 20 min drive. From where? Their current location? I live in Palmyra. If they build in Gates or Greece it would make it out of the question for me, and I for one would then hope that the city would renovate the Auditorium Theater and bring in another Theater Group.

think somewhere in the burbs would be the way to go. You wouldn't have to worry about getting robbed or shot in the city. I certainly wouldn't travel in there at night or anytime to see anyperformance.

well, most people aren't morons like you and don't worry about getting robbed or shot going to a show on main street.

Put it in toronto and have the canadians buy a fast ferry to shuttle the couple hundred rich people that actually give a crap about this project. Maybe it will revitalize the port of rochester.

If Scott Congel proves himself in his first effort to be something other than a shyster like his father is, then the Medley Centre thing could be pretty good, I think - if it goes that way.

Sounds like you've never been around Main St after dark. I've almost been robbed twice myself on Mortimer St and St. Paul...I was able to run very fast the first time, and the second time a group of my friends just happened to walk out of the building I was going to just in the nick of time.

Anyone who claims there isn't a crime problem downtown has either:
1) Never actually been downtown after dark
2) Been with a large enough group to avoid any problems
3) Been VERY lucky

Either way, I think YOU'RE a suburbanite who's never actually been there, but wants desperately to believe it's just like walking down the street in Fairport.

Go there sometime around midnight by yourself and walk around for a few hours. I advise you bring a cell phone and put 911 on your speed dial.
