Colorado Governor Hickenlooper, confirming his stance as an enemy of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, is set to sign into law some of the most restrictive gun-control measures in the western U.S. today. Included in those bills is a ban on high-capacity magazines. As a result, MagPul, the Colorado-based manufacturer of high-capacity magazines for many types of firearms, has promised to leave the state, and take several hundred jobs with it. After all, how can they manufacture and warehouse items in Colorado that are illegal in the state?

Well, don't worry Magpul! Democrats got you covered! They added an amendment to the bill Hickenlooper is set to sign that specifically allows manufacturers like Magpul the right to continue building and warehousing their product, illegal according to state law, as long as they sell that product OUTSIDE of Colorado!

Yup. Manufacturers will get to continue to MAKE the items deemed illegal and unsafe for Colorado citizens right there in Colorado, but Coloradans just won't be able to legally buy those items.

That's called hypocrisy, and that's what you get when you vote for Democrats.

So Republicans are going to run their next election on a main platform of MORE GUNS?
This is the state of Columbine and Aurora.
Who is scared of that?

I'd rather they run on the fact that Democrats are hypocritical charlatans who will use any means to gain power.

And then simply offer the choice of Constitutional liberty.

@cary nickels. So you're a proud conservative...a 19th century thinker in a progressive 21st century society. Colorado has been unfortunately struck by a disproportionate amount of loss regarding the subject of gun violence and are trying to find a way to prevent another james holmes from aquiring these weapons. You talk of the second ammendment like you know what you're talking about, but my spidey senses tell me you don't know shit. Turn off the orielly and read a book

If he'd signed the law earlier, his prison chief would still be alive.

So. Any of you lefties care to explain why Democrats passed a law that allows manufacturers in Colorado to continue making high-capacity magazines, as long as they sell them outside of Colorado?

.
what if a person from another state comes to personally pick up an order ? I assume as soon as they take possession they are then criminally in possession of a banned item. Will they grant exemptions to out of staters, visitors traveling the interstates thru the state with a magazine or banned item ?

Is the law constitutional? If so, there can not be a logical legal argument, only disagreement on philisophical differences. I would agree that it does not make sense. By the way, you RIGHTIES have not been able to EXPLAIN how reasonable gun advocates are opposed to background checks at guns shows, while adamantly arguing that the purchaseres are law abiding citizens????? Doesn't make sense either, does it?

It certainly does...If you believe in the traditional common law that presumes innocence until proof of guilt.

Criminals don't buy guns from gun stores, gun shows, or generally from any traceable private party. They steal them, or buy them from others who stole them.

Then why have security checks at airports and random DWI check points? Do you agree with either?

It is comforting to know that no criminal would EVER buy a weapon at a gun show!!!

Security checks at airports should be at the discretion of the airline..the owners of the equipment.

I do not support random DWI check points.

Nor do I support any infringement upon the Second Amendment.

Security checks at airports are at the direction of the TSA. The airline companies, the "owners of the equipment" have NO CHOICE in the matter.
Why aren't you leading the charge to eliminate random DWI checks, as you are in the gun issue?

BTW, were you one of the "constitutional lawyers" that maintained for 3+ years that Obamacare was unconstitutional? Too bad that the US Supreme Court ruled against the "experts".

I wasn't stating how it is, I was stating how it should be.

Though I am opposed to random DWI checks, they don't matter as much to me as Second Amendment rights.

ObamaCare IS unconstitutional. The supreme court was wrong. Even so, they had to jump through hoops to make ObamaCare a "tax" in order to support their incorrect opinion....this after President Obama emphatically declared that ObamaCare was not a tax.

In fact, according to the definition the supreme court gave to ObamaCare, it is one of the largest tax increases in U.S. history.

So, does that make Barack Obama a liar AND a hypocrite?
