That sleazy coyote Chili Yazzie has been ousted out of Shiprock Presidency job so please folks lock up all the assets and chapter accounts with the bank and petty cash, because Chili Yazzie will make a last desperate act to defraud the Chapter one more time before he leaves. An audit should be called by the new President, also because Don Benally is still the vice President he is just as crooked as Chili.

I want to say thank you to the outgoing Chapter President of Shiprock, Mr. Chili Yazzie for his many years of service to our community. He has done an excellent job of maintaining the dignity of this chapter despite the overwhelming problems that are inherent in this town. I want all to know that serving in a public office is not an easy feat. It takes someone with thick skin and the ability to maintain their integrity. I think Chili did an excellent job both as our chapter president but also in maintaining his own integrity and dignity. Thank You Chili.

Finally.....Chili Yazzie's crazy ways are out of the chapter. Let's hope we didn't dig a deeper hole by voting in Lee.

In 2000, then President William Jefferson Clinton of the United States, while visiting Shiprock, NM, called William Lee "the Mayor" of Shiprock, New Mexico. Anyway, I am glad you are back to being Mayor again Mr. William Lee. Just don't sign your name with "W" by itself. That one is already taken by George "W". I know you have better senses and hope to lead. Congrats and I wish you all the best.

congradulations, Mr. Lee, now, i hope you will work to have businesses clean up their mess and make shiprock a presentable place to visit, plus, we desperately need hotels, basically economic growth, but, anyways, good luck.

I can't believe Shiprock voted in (again) that ex-convict Donald Benally. Shame on your Shiprock voters!

Congratulations to William Lee for being elected as the new Shiprock Chapter president.
It is very sad that outgoing chapter president Chili Yazzie continues to believe everything in Shiprock centers around his welfare.
In Farmington news articles -- and in recent letters to the editor in the tribe's paper -- he continues to talk only about himself, rather than talk about the people of Shiprock and the challenges they continue to face.
To this day, Chili is all about Chili. And his business practices at the chapter reflected that.
Don't worry about his $30,000 BCDS consulting fee for a company that put the tribe $4.7 million in debt. Don't worry about a chapter employee embezzling money. Don't worry about a failed audit. Don't worry about never becoming LGA certified.
For a man who is on the Navajo Human Rights Commission, Chili is, and continues to be, a walking contradiction. Losing the election only solidified his 'poor is me' attitude.
Shiprock has so much potential. It is my hope that Mr. Lee will be Shiprock's Obama.

oh please, you were doing fine till you mention shiprock's obama, lee will set his own goals on how to establish, oh gosh, okay, integrity in shiprock. lee will be himself, carefull how you compare him to obama. you haven't seen nothing yet with obama. keep a watchfull eye on your finances and your job. though very good to see william win, hopefully things go well for him, good luck lee.
