Hi, all.
I know Deming well.
It's not the size of a city block.
It has the largest Class AAAA high school enrollment-wise in New Mexico, larger than Farmington High.
More than 15,000 people live in Deming. That's just 4,000 less than the population of Gallup, and we don't consider Gallup a town "the size of a city block."
On the flip side, you are right about the size of the police force. Six officers off duty would put a hurt in their ability to cover the city. Deming is a sprawling city probably three miles long east to west and probably the same north to south.
I, too, wonder what the DA is looking at.

Hi, I'll tell you what they are probably looking at "CORRUPTED COPS"! Low wages, easy access to narcotics the proximity to Palomas, and another small town with w/ dirty rats!!!! C-Ya!

Hello, I live in Phoenix but I have just been offered a job with Homeland Security in Deming, NM. Wondering if you might be able to recommend a place I might be able to stay during the week in Deming??? I plan to drive back to Phoenix on the weekends after working in Deming all week. Any recommendations you might be able to make would be greatly appreciated. Please email me at [email protected] Thanks!

Are you the Mayor or something of Deming? It's a small town. Do you have to wonder what 6 cops are being investigated for in a small dirt town next to the border? MMMMMMMMMMMMMM--Drug trafficking.

Catch up with the rest of the class son. If you read the other posts on the other related articles it's clear to see that it's not drug trafficking. Where've you been?
