it depends on the number of dwi's the person has. the article does not give the whole story. Maybe he caused an accident?

IMO, they need to put more dwi offenders into prison.

Just depends on circumstances. Sometimes someone gives the judge no other option than to incarcerate him for DWI. Sure it seems harmless until that DWI driver kills someone.

"The United States has, for instance, 2.3 million criminals behind bars, more than any other nation, according to data maintained by the International Center for Prison Studies at King’s College London."

it is never a good idea to drink and drive, anyone even the driver could get hurt, someone has to do something when people are not being responsible. if you have to drink, stay at home.

Hey farmboy --- I spent 6 yrs & 2 months in FCC. Prisons are a big business in the USA and more are going to private businesses, so as long as the money's there they will keep on locking people up.

farmington missouri prison is a sex offender camp. there are a lot of mysteries things happening to sex offenders in there.yes some of them die and no 1 knows who it is. either the prison changing the name or they tell the press that it was an accidental death.

Its a prison full of sex offenders!!! What the hell do think goes on when you have that many sex offenders in the same camp? Check ratio Numbers of Co1 to the number of offenders!!!And the great state just keeps deleting post of officers!!! But boy do those offenders get 3 meals a day, free medical, and by the way dental, clothing, roof over there head, thanks to those of us that still pay taxes!!!! You do realize the aides and hep-c, runs rapid there!!!

Is it really all that bad when one of those sex offenders comes up dead?In my opinion society is better off without them.I don't believe they can be rehabilitated. At least our taxes quit paying for their upkeep. As a workig tax payer I can't afford insurance or dental care and struggle to get 3 squares a day and keep a roof over my head.

Just depends CiCi, what level of offense they are. You have your true blue evil baby rapers, and your real rapers, that have abused women sexually, but then and please think about this scenerio for a min!!! Say you have a son that graduated from high school and he decided he was going away to college, but his girfriend that he he had dated for 2 yrs of his 4yr. high school career, and was accepted into the girlfriends family because that is what their baby girl wanted at the time even though she was just not quite old enough to really be dating him. So he leaves for college and he decides he just really wants to move on he has met someone with the same goals as his. So he breaks it off with the high school sweetheart, because remember they are not married. The high school sweetheart gets mom and dad to back her and away to jail this guy goes, for approximatly 6yrs. I am not refering to anyones case here, I just see young girls running around with almost everything showing in the clothes that mom and dad bought them. What I am saying here is there is guys seving time for events like this. Do they deserve it? Yes they do, but where does the punishment for the high school sweetheart come into play? Parents should not back something they gave permission for in the first place. So guys like that, I hate to see there.
