Hi, my family is new yo farmington, & I have found that our carrier has ignored my "clearly posted" out going mail that needs to be taken. He just smashes the new mail on top of my outgoing letters.
Is there anyone who could offer advice or direct me to the proper department that handles complaints.
Thank you for reading.

Consider yourself lucky that they got the incoming mail into the correct box, most of ours is handed to us by our neighbors, and more than a few times by people we didn't know in other random parts of town.

I haven't put outgoing mail out in years, ever since we received a neighbors outgoing mail in our box.

Good luck, we wrote an understanding letter to the postmaster and heard exactly nothing back, and it didn't get any better.

Of course, now that I think of it, he may have never received the letter, no telling where it may have ended up.

Its not like they have to worry that your going to switch mail services on them, like power and gas and so many other things, they are the only dog in the race.

Was passing by a house a few days ago and the postal carrier took a cardboard box for delivery, stood at the bottom of the steps, and tossed it about 6 feet to land near the front door. Got in his lil tuk tuk and left. What a douche.

Twice I've had the mail carrier take my outgoing mail out of my mailbox, set it on the ground...and leave without taking it! Seriously? You can see I have outgoing mail, you've just delivered new mail. It's not my regular mail lady doing this. She's great. It's someone else. I've complained to the post office both times. They advised me they are getting a LOT of complaints.

I bet its the same douche that used his truck to drag our trash cans 1/8 way up the street and run over the other the next time. Our Trash guys would lay ours on their side next to the mailbox and unless he did some evasive manuevers he would drag them.he could still deliver the mail with his arm on his truck just was being lazy.

You should never put out going mail in your mailbox. I know it is a pain to drive to a drop off location but it is safe. There are so many crooks out there that will steal your mail looking for payments you send off.

I had the same problem once when they would not pick up my outgoing mail. I found out they are not required to. They are only supposed to deliver. The postmaster told me they will pick it up as a courtesy.

Your outgoing mail is supposed to be on the outside of your box, if you live in the city, so there's no way for a city carrier to smash the incoming mail on top of the out going mail if its where it should be for pick-up..

Are you talking a full sized mailbox that sits by the curve or one of those little ones that attach to the side of a house?

95% of boxes in the city are attached to the house, that's what I'm talking about, obviously if you have a mailbox on the street you just put the flag up and that let's the carrier know you have outgoing mail.

Everyone on my road has mailboxes on the road. Do I'm pretty sure it's not just my road that's apart of that %95. Also they are going to be sending a letter out asking people to get a mail box to put on the road.
