I personally don't think it's a bad idea as long as you pay attention and I say this considering I've been in an accident on the bridge due to a lady not paying attention to the lane shifts...if people actually pay attention and do a reasonable speed then the bridge is safe

It wasn't that bad??? I'm thrilled you think "it's not that bad"???? I am here to tell you it's very confusing to the majority of people I know! This is not England, if I drove on the left all the time I would get it, but We DON'T!! The amount of accidents in such a short time should tell them something! Who engineered this thing, He should be fired!!!"

I'm sorry that it's so confusing to you. And no, it wasn't that bad. Like I said, I paid attention to the signs and road markings and didn't have any problems. I have to say that I won't be avoiding it any longer.

On a side note, easy on the exclamation points and question marks. You really only need one per sentence.
Ahhhh a wise guy eh??? I like the extra punctuation marks to emphasize my point!! Opinions are like Assholes, everyone has one!!! However, facts to support your opinion carries more weight. And the accidents that are occurring on this lovely designed bridge are on pace to far exceed the previous designs accident record!! But I guess since you feel "it's not that bad", will satisfy the people who are injured or financially drained due to accidents there!! Hmmm, NOT!(I close with only one exclamation point so you don't get riled up).

Nope sorry. Not riled up or being a wise guy. Stated my opinion (used it again today without any problems by the way) and if you don't agree or like it then I honestly don't care.

Maybe if you hate it so much and it's so dangerous, you might try attending city council meetings or contact elected officials to vent your frustrations and present them your facts. That would be a way better way to fix what you consider to be a problem instead to anonymously ranting on this website. Good luck!!!

I actually prefer ranting anonymously thank you very much. As I stated, the accident record of the new overpass vs. the old overpass will speak for itself. Your opinion that its not that bad struck me as odd, when you have choices and one is good, and one is not that bad, I'll go with good any day. Especially when safety is a factor. So far the crash rate has been higher, I know for us to familiarize ourselves with your new overpass there will be a learning curve and we'll have to sacrifice a few, hopefully the price will not be to high!

If you cry baby whiners hate our town and the things they do so much, MOVE OUT! We prefer not to have you around anyway. I for one, have noticed in increase of traffic flow, a decrease of accidents, and a decrease in time delays with the new overpass. I understand that some people's lack of mental understanding does not allow for them to comprehend simple changes; get over it, quit whining, or go elsewhere. No one likes listening to your whimpers, sobs, or gripes.

Listen idiots, Highway 221 is a STATE HIGHWAY!!! The overpass was a MODOT road - not a City of Farmington road. If you have a complaint call MODOT!

Only dumbasses that don't pay attention cause the wrecks and that is the same dumbasses that complain about it because its different they don't like it because most dumbasses apparently can't read either to know which side of the bridge to drive on. And so what if there is more accidents they are at a hell of a lot lower speed than before. So in other words I'm telling you dumbass pull your head out of your ass and pay attention to what you are doing and you won't have any problems navigating the bridge.

You're a funny bird in my mind too, lol. You say it's fine if you pay attention, I agree to some degree, however here is where I look at the situation in a little more than your vague statements like "if you pay attention" "it's not that bad". I agree to a certain extent, but go a little further, lol "it's not NEARLY as easy to traverse a conventional overpass that we're used to".(New and different is NOT always better)!

I too find it kinda stupid that that they went with that design. I also am not the type person to just accept it and make the best of it. I think that whomever is responsible for this overpass from MODOT should be called out in the press and explain WHY?

They did explain why they built the overpass that is there now. And I would have to disagree with you that the old overpass was easier to transverse. Pulling out in front of someone to get in your lane is not easier it is more dangerous. The new overpass has stoplights and a different flow of traffic so that this never happens. Like I said before all you have to have is a little common sense and you will make it over the NEW and IMPROVED bridge intact.
Curious?

Its a great design and I think it has cleared up alot of hassle and effort to get off the damn highway...if people cant take a second to figure out how it works then maybe they should let someone else drive
Its a great idea

I think they built it to confuse drunk drivers do I think it's a great idea. It's better that a drunk driver hit the bridge rather than them killing a bunch of innocent people

If you want to be able to come up with great ideas like this bridge there is a technique that can be used! Bend over as far as you can, now stick your head up your ass as far as you can.... Now you are ready to come up with all kinds of great ideas like this wonderfully designed bridge! And as for the few Morons that like this bridge, don't worry, your heads are already so far up your patooties that you are naturals to this kinds thinking!
