wronganswer wrote: So those of you that work for the ambulance district answer to service complaints is "don't use us?". Here's some news for you - we own the service! It is toda,y and always has been, a tax based service. Get off you high horse and be responsible public servants when someone complains about the services that they are forced to pay for with their tax money. That's right - we pay your salary whether we use your services or not, therefore we have every right to complain about the quality of the service and the conduct of the employees. I agree completely. These people act like we should bow down and kiss their feet for some reason. They are civil servants and nothing more. They get paid (by tax payers) to come in and do their job. To me, they are no different than any other working person.

There is not a whole lot that can be done on a website but if there is a complaint it can be taken to the board and it will be looked at from there. People don't understand like I said previously, there are days when EMT's and Medics are sick, tired, hungry, and away from their own families for 12 hours straight but are still working. You can't just call out because of these things. The job has to be done, its just like any other EMS job, but instead of being appreciative people complain about the size of the employees, the time it takes to get to some calls ( not knowing where the ambulance is coming from) and a tax that the people voted on ( that's why it exist)

Besides nobody is forcing you to work there, if it's so hard with the hours and being away from your family then by all means go find another job. Thanks.
