If anyone is considering a purchase from Aaron's in Farmington... DON'T!!

Aason's is supposed to be the best rent-to-own store, and they do admittedly have the best quality, but the staff currently running that store is incompenent and rude, to say the very least. They will take your application and then come up with somethig new EVERY SINGLE DAY that is needed to quilfy you for a lease.

I can only give you my opionion and it's up to you to decide, but if you live within the vicinity of the Cape Girardeau or Sikeston stores, please shop with them. They are much more consumer friendly.

I have been waiting for nearly a week to complete a purchase. Everytime I try to satisfy one of thier demands, they come up with another one. It's just nearly not worth the hassle.

Thank You!

Ever thought about saving your money and buying things outright instead of paying through the nose in interest rates from places like that?

I had a problem with a refrigerator I bought from them! It didn't work after they delivered it and it took them a week to come and pick it up and almost a month before they credited my money back to my account. Instead of getting another one from them, I bought a new one from Lowes... Which is what I should've done to begin with!

To qualify a person for a lease at Aarons you have to Verify Employment and 3 personal references then you walk out the door with for the most part whatever the hell you want with a first months payment.
The only way youre going to have problems being verified is if A.They cannot verify employment or B.They cannot get ahold of your references so they need more.I used to work at Aarons a bit ago and the process is easy. The sales teams WANTS you to be verified. They make commission off of Sales. So from what it sounds like what you put on the app wasn't jiving...again no credit check no background check and you get for the most part whatever you want.

For the record also aarons is the least expensive of all the "rental" places infact aarons is geared more towards customers owning the product unlike rent a center, show me,national that just want to get a months payment and repo the stuff.

You can find "ok" deals at aarons sometimes.it is a high interest but compare them to the other places and its no comparison. Not everyone has the money to dump down on a new Fridge,Stove,W/D,TV etc...I myself would probably never go through a lease cause I save my money but people on a fixed income, ssi, etc it's perfect. Some of our best customers that paid off made very little but we could make the payments fit their monthly budget.

Strange, the whole process with our purchase only took about 30 minutes.

Only LOSERS use rent to own stores. You pay 2 to 3 times the amount an item is worth. Do without for a while, until you can save up and pay cash. Break the loser cycle, raise your kids to PAY CASH for things or do without. Your kids will have a better life than you have.

I'm glad you always save up your cash for purchases, I however wanted a house to raise my children in, so I took out a loan, using our good credit rating we were able to get a decent interest rate, however we will still pay tens of thousands of dollars more over the next fifteen years than the original price of our home.

I guess we are just losers.

But you, your a winner, still living in your parents house until you save up enough cash to buy your own. Because certainly you don't rent a home or apartment because that truly is the biggest waste of money possible.

Look, Idiot Guest, I was talking about the loan sharks who charge an insane amount of interest and pray on the less intelligent people. A bank loan for a house is not even what we were talking about. Have a little self-esteem, geez. Paranoid much?

If you think the front loaded interest on a home loan is any less loan sharking, do some basic math.

If you use a credit card and don't pay it in full every month, the money spent is no less than going to a place like Arron's.

Do you call everyone that does that, less intelligent?

I guess your one of the 7% with good credit that don't use it. Which would most probably put you in an age group of 60 plus, since below that, the percentage drops even more drastically.
