Big Bang Theory. Dates the creation of our solar system back billions of years ago. Then when our burdening ball of fire and rock started to slow down it had life on it. That life adapted and with the Earths new location in the galaxy it too, began to change. Small water molecules came from the inner rock layer and the crust started to break away. The very small, single-celled organisms began to evolve. After a couple billion of years their was a noticeable change from before. Life started to form. Primitive creatures that don't even exist any more created an ecosystem they needed to survive. The water levels rose and after much more then a million years, dinosaurs existed. You cannot deny the proof of dinosaurs. Later,(several million years), our primitive ancestors grew. We no linger needed that thick coat of hair or tail. We prospered above all other species and in about ten-thousand years we came to where we are now. This is not my opinion, these are simple facts.
You state your learned opinion as fact? This Theory of creation has not been provide but only speculated on. If it was real it would be law of origins but its not. If you really know scientific method you would have to have a way of testing this couple of billion years. You can't do it. You have as good of a shot of proving this theory as I have proving God. So what you just spouted off is in essence a faith of your own. You cannot see it, you cannot test it. You cannot prove it. Sounds just like what you are saying about God and his non-existance. Look at it this way. If I believe in God and He is not real I loose nothing when I die. If you dont believe in God and He is real then you loose when you die. BTW the odds of creation of life from random water, dust, and some form of electrical stimulation is greater than me shaking a bunch of nuts and bolts in acardboard box and a robot come out of it.

Again that's evidence of a belief not science as you can neither scientifically prove evolution happened it even show me fossil evidence that it happens either. There has never been a fossil link of any species found that shows evolution happening. Sure your parents made you but who made them and so forth. Couple of points. First the human genome experiment traced human DNA to a single source. If we evolved then our DNA would come from multiple sources monkeys walked out of the jungle as men. On that note why isn't there evolution being witness today? Proponents will say that the conditions are not right. I think according to Darwin the conditions would always be right.
Second, there are plenty of creatures that have proved they could not have evolved because they would not have survived the evolutionary process to get where they are today. Example the bombidiare beatle (google it if you don't believe). This Beatle make two chemicals in its abdominal compartment that when mixed together explode and produce a hot gas that it shoots at its enemy. How could that evolve? Any wrong deviation in the process would blow the Beatle up. Dead Beatles cannot reproduce. It would have to be created that way from the start. Again to say that complex multi-celled organisms we see today such as any human being coming from a single simple cell organism is against any statistical logarithm. The odds of it happening is just too staggering to calculate.

People like to blame God for the loss of life. It's good to blame someone for something as we don't want to take the blame ourselves. Parents who list the life of a child because they didn't lock their guns down blame God. God did not pump toxins down a smoker who has lung cancer. God didn't get the driver drunk who killed the family coming home from a ball game. God didn't cause the greed in people who took the life of another for material processions. Someone asked about tornadoes and earth qaukes, are these not natural events but when devistation happens why didn't God do anything? How about famines that kills millions of children where is God in that people ask? Aids surely couldn't be created by a loving God. If we want a God at all we want a God who gives us choice but then swoops in to rescue us when our choices let us down and even bring distraction. Most evil, pain, and suffering in human life is created and caused by humans. I am a parent both loving and caring for my children. I would die to protect them but at times I have to let them fail so they can grow up and take care of themselves. I would not be a good loving parent to step in every single time and prevent their mistakes. they first would resent it of me and they would never learn. So I must be an evil son of a bitch to let my kids suffer from their choices. Nope again a loving parent who would rather die than my kids to suffer harm. Yet I have to let them live their own life.

You are right in the fact you can write anything and make up any codes. People do it all the time. It really is whack! It's harder pressed to argue against a book that has influenced society for nearly 10 thousand years. In history the Bible is one of the oldest text, most sold text, most stolen text, the most given away text, the most read and most ignored text, and the most misunderstood text. People use the Bible as an excuse to do what they want. The codes and laws in western society comes straight from the Bible. Do not murder, do not steal, do not lie about what your neighbor has done, don't want someone else wide or husband. If your neighbor is in need give them aid. Take care of the poor and needy. Treat people as you would wanted to be treated yourself. Pretty whack crap don't you think? We should get rid of the Bible and it's influence because it is destroying society.

The bible is the most read book in the world because people are afraid to die. How will the world continue without you in it? And it's the greatest hope. I would love to live forever, too. But sometimes when something is too good to be true, it is. The bible is actually at least twenty times as large, in its entirety, and it has been edited and changed. Like Daniel and the Lion's Den, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe in the first edition he kicked the crap out of the lions and in the new one he makes peace with them. I actually am working on reading the bible so I can be sure of these things. Also, suddenly in the New Testament it is wrong to make animals sacrifices, beat our wives with sticks as wide as our thumbs, and give up your two virgin daughters to the guests in your house. And God is not a male, God has no gender. Though that makes it interesting saying someone with no gender impregnated Mary...
Keep reading! There are many an educated person who read the Bible to prove that God did not exist and left believing. As for the reference to editing, the Bible has been edited to correct for translation for language to language problems. To my knowledge the story of Daniel and the Lions den has never changed. If you have proof to the contrary please share as I want to investigate that myself. In regards to changes in laws from animal sacrifice between testiments has to do with God and His Grace. In the old testiment God instituted the animal sacrifice for the remission of Sin. A very simplistic explanation of this is a person who was truely repentant gave up the most important thing to show sorrow and remorse. In the new testiment God gave up Jesus as that sacrifice for man kind. God no longer requires animal sacrifice for the remission of sins because Jesus did it once and for all on the cross. Now all men have to do is believe that Jesus is real and that he did what he did on the cross for us. The Bible is something to be taken in the whole and not parts for the answer of God. How good and comprehensible would it be to read any book a paragraph here and a paragraph there? So to get the story of God and his caring for man the Bible needs to be studied from the front to the back. If you can't do it on your own find a good person who can teach it. I had to do that with any author who wrote in middle English.

This is a discussion or debate. A debate requires rebuttal or there would be no debate. I have not called anyone names or attacked their character. I have presented the other side of the argument in a respectable manor. How about you? Have you shown the same respect and demeanor? I will tell you what is typical though. A person who can not logically debate will resort to name calling. Have a blessed day.

You know, youre right.
Where is the evidence?
I guess if he was real we'd see some massive beard and a huge head in the clouds. But we don't. Nor do we here him saying-"young friends, heaven is waiting for you....."
I think the chances he is real would be about 5%.

Ok people it isn't complicated...the proof of God is the Bible, it is the word of god, it's historical text written by actual people, Moses spoke to God. Jesus Christ is the clearest, most specific picture of God revealing himself to us though. Why Jesus? Look throughout the major world religions and you'll find that Buddha, Muhammad, Confucius and Moses all identified themselves as teachers or prophets. None of them ever claimed to be equal to God. Surprisingly, Jesus did. That is what sets Jesus apart from all the others. He said God exists and you're looking at him. Jesus said that anyone who had seen Him had seen the Father, anyone who believed in him, believed in the Father. He did what people can't do. Jesus performed miracles. He healed people...blind, crippled, deaf, even raised a couple of people from the dead. He had power over objects...created food out of thin air, enough to feed crowds of several thousand people. He performed miracles over nature...walked on top of a lake, commanding a raging storm to stop for some friends. He said if you do not want to believe what I'm telling you, you should at least believe in me based on the miracles you're seeing.Jesus died in our place so we could be forgiven. Of all the religions known to humanity, only through Jesus will you see God reaching toward humanity, providing a way for us to have a relationship with him. "God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." He has provided sufficient proof of his existence for us to willingly respond to him
Yes, I believe in a book because I believe in the god it writes about, and I believe in the god it writes about because I believe in the book.
(Hmm, that almost seems like a circular reasoning fallacy? Nah.....)
