Yea--glad to see the city council is starting to take some steps regarding smoking in public places. I know it just small steps but we have to crawl before we walk...Thank you council.

This is like gun control people who don't like it are trying to take it away from people who do if you don't like smoking don't smoke or don't go places where smoking is allowed. Just the same is if you don't like guns don't own one but its not anyone's place but mine to decide what I need or want.

Your smoke effects people that dont smoke. In a negative way...like i cant breathe when im around it. Why should i not go to a good place to eat because skanks are smoking in it? Rude. And other people guns dont effect anyone else unless they r pointed in their face. U cant even compare the two.

Your a dumbass I was comparing the way all you liberal idiots want to do things. Don't bitch about it if you can't keep yourself away from the smoke your putting yourself in harms way just because you want to eat a certain type of food. Get over your high and mighty self.

Thats like me not showering for 7 weeks and having a fan blow my BO in ur face while ur trying to eat. Rude...disgusting. get it now? Did i break it down good enough for ya? I doubt it but we'll see.

Doesn't matter what it is just because you don't like something doesn't mean you have any right to make me stop doing something I enjoy. I don't think smoking is disgusting. I think whiney bitches are disgusting because all they want to do is make their self feel better even if it means taking away rights and privileges from someone who like something they don't.

Your not going to get out of this world alive anyway so why does it matter? Also just because you don't smoke doesn't mean you don't do something that puts your health/life at risk everyday. So until your perfect quit judging people who smoke.

If I make choices that effect my health and well being that does not effect others around me thats my business. But a choice that imposes on others space is wrong. We don't own air we share it and should be considerate of those we co- exist with. Smoking is not a right nor a privilege it is a choice.

The name was started for a comment on a previous post and I never changed it but it was meant originally to mean what I was commenting on was stupid. Do you tan? Do you drive? Unless you work in an office I'm sure your job is dangerous. That is your choice to do or not to so those afore mention things so why do you find it ok to call me stupid when you do things that are dangerous to your health.

When you drive you never speed? Because that is dangerous to other people. And if you don't like smoking don't go into places that allow it that is your choice.

Um, I don't want to go to a restaurant and have to tell them to hold the cancer just so that they will sit me and my daughter where there isn't a cigarette smoking twit smoking chainers trying to kill everyone. No one wants to inhale your cancer so put it out :) you can't smoke while eating anyway.
As for the gun reference, NO. It is nothing like gun control. Guns aren't giving people cancer by just standing next to a person with one. Guns are for protection. Cigarettes are for addicts (nicotine is a DRUG) who can't live without inhaling smoke for one single freaking hour, cigarettes are for people who don't have the will power to just eat their meal and go the heck home (and smoke in the car to the place and after leaving) more people die each year from nicotine than those who die of gunshot wounds or stabbings. Around 5million people a year die from nicotine ! I don't want my child/children to be one of those 5million simply bc some ass couldn't just wait a few minutes or not be so lazy and go outside.

Also, if you are a smoker, idiot, I'm sure you know that the stink of cig smoke clings to everyone it also lingers, burning eyes, ruining lungs, giving people cancer... If you want to smoke, smoke. But not around everyone else. I use to smoke. The best thing I ever did was quit. I'm not "judging" you but I don't want your nasty smoke making me stink, hurting my child, giving us cancer, or burning my eyes. It's gross. You aren't gross bc you do it but smoking is gross. Especially what it does to the human body. Even just by being an innocent bystander.

Thank you Married WithChild. I agree with everything you posted.

And to Stupid--You are correct we all must die--I just choose not to go because of your habit. I also assume you mean if we don't like drunk drivers we should give up our choice to drive????

Who cares about the health effects of smoking??? I think it's been scientifically proven that smoking makes you look 65% cooler than those that don't smoke. That right there is worth some minor health risks. And if you happen to be breathing in my general proximity, you should only be so lucky. I pay like $5 a pack for my cigs and you get that 2nd hand for FREE! That's what's not fair about this. They shouldn't allow non smokers into smoking establishments. Buncha leeches and free loaders. Go buy your own pack!

And another thing, I think it's more than fair warning I'm about to light up when I pull out my cigs and start loudly packing them against my hand, for the whole place to hear. Some might call it obnoxiously annoying, I call it a common courtesy. Your welcome.
