going non-smoking is BAD for business, especially in places that sell alcohol.

If the city makes mandatory for all businesses it takes the option out . U can always go to other towns but that could be expensive. I wish Applebee's would follow pasta house

Tater why should I have to stop smoking because you don't like it. It's my air also and I choose to fill mine with smoke. If you don't like it go somewhere else. Why does your rights supersede mine?

I agree, why should all places be non-smoking? Isn't smoking a right? People are hipocrits. It's ok if the rights benefit them, but as soon as they don't lets get rid of it, and the heck with other peoples rights.

It's not that big of a deal to step outside for a few minutes. It's not about rights. It's common courtesy.

I don't mind smoking in a restaurant but I think they need to work on separating it. When I go to Applebee's and ask for non and they sit me at a booth right next to the bar and consider that none then something is wrong.

I'm a smoker an agree that I should respect non smokers by not smoking around them in a building, car, home ect. Children in a car that's terrible. An like most hate going into a bar or restaurant an having to wash everything from your hair to your coat
as soon as you get home because you smell so terrible. You could help or hurt businesses tho. I was at a Blues club in Chicago a while back an a few were inside while 50+ were lined up the side
walk smoking.

Here's the thing, cigarette smoke causes cancer. If you feel the need to smoke and develop it, then go for it but I don't want myself or my family exposed to that risk. Pretty much that simple.

If you walk into a facility that allows smoking then you have no right to complain when you come out smelling like an ashtray. I used to smoke and was always respectful, even in restaurants that allowed smoking, if I saw someone sitting nearby that didn't smoke I didn't light up until I went outside. But, speaking of respect, why should I respect the non-smoker that's sitting there cursing at people smoking around them? I've seen so many rude people at restaurants, telling their children they will beat their a$$ if they don't behave, emotionally abusing their spouses, using the F word in every other sentence because there's smoke in the air, but I'm not supposed to smoke around them because it's disrespectful?

If u don't like smoke then stay out of bars and other places. I have a problem with drunks and drug users. I hate going to bars because of all the druncks so I don't go. However walmart and other stores in town are filled with dope heads. Let's fix this problem. Hell with ciggerett smoke let's deal with meth and pill heads.
