Mayor Larson please stop wasting time on services that are not needed in the city. We have been waiting for two years for you to get to work on the real issues.

They assumed? Dealing with a legal contracts AND state laws they assumed?
Silly me, I also assumed that staff and the city attorney were capable professionals and would ensure the legality of such an enterprise BEFORE leaping.
This boondoggle cost the city how much in set-up expenses? I assume there will be a complete financial disclosure of expenses paid with our tax dollars. Oh wait, that is one assumption I suspect will never come to fruition.

So all they care about is driving traffic into a downtown that is dead. "Economic Development Tool" Your Mayor and City Council did not do their jobs before jumping in with both feet. What a waste of time and effort.
After building a Taj Mahal downtown, I guess you have to find at least one tenant to occupy the space.

Farmington Mayor Todd Larson: "We went ahead and did this and then found out it was not allowed." Holy Due Diligence, Mr. Mayor, maybe you should have researched state law and discussed your business plan with MnDMV BEFORE you hired a private subcontractor to manage the license center. Farmington's residents deserve much, much better from Mayor Larson and the city council.
