Went there Friday night and had the worst service I've had at a restaurant in a long time. And the Grand Nacho had melted cheez whiz-type cheese on it -- awful. Don't bother.

This restaurant is for sleazy bachelors who only care about dumb anorexic blonds with no personality. The service was awful. Sure, she looked like she just came out of a magazine ad, but she could not hold a conversation, let alone get my order right. I didn't even bother sending it back because she'd have probably screwed it up even more.

The bartender had gigantic fake breasts that were more than 50% hanging out of her shirt to the point where it was uncomfortable to even look at her. The guys that own the place look like the type of guys that drive around town in Cadillac Escalades with spinners on the wheels.

If that's your type of atmosphere, go for it. But if you want a decent meal with good service in a RELAXING atmosphere, this IS NOT the place.

You just cannot relax and enjoy your meal and your company in this type of atmosphere.

Like I said, this place is for horny, materialistic young bachelors who love to objectify women and put money into the pockets of sleazy bar owners.

- oh yeah, my beer glass was warm, so you can imagine how long my beer stayed cold. And no salt and pepper or condiments on the table for my burgers. I could go ON AND ON...

The managment team likes to rule by using fear. What a great method that is, to have you staff afraid of you, let's see how long these yahoos stay in business.

Management is soooo sleazy looking. I honestly felt like I was in a low-class strip joint and the managers were going in the back and beating the waitresses and taking half their tips.

Is this a restaurant or a whore house?

I hope they go out of business soon. AWFUL!!!

Well Brian, If Jim is the owner you must be the competition. I have personally met the manager and 2 of the owners and they are the nicest group of people I have ever met. There aren’t many places nowadays where a manager or an owner will greet you at the door. I live locally, and have been there 4x's now and I love the place.
I found the atmosphere very warm and inviting with intimate lighting(nothing worse than a bar brighter than the sun).The background music was right up my alley alternative rock. Everyone I take there likes the place.
The burger I had was the best burger I had in a long time, my friend had the fish and chips and said is was excellent. The service was perfect, every time my drink was 2 sips away from empty the server asked if I was ready for another. Having a cute server is just icing on the cake!
Aside from Library pub this is my new watering hole. The food is way better than Library's although I can drink at the Library for less. I'll consider the money I save driving there the trade off.

I'm a woman, and straight, so I'm obviously not biased towards the appearance of the female wait staff. That said, I have been to the Grand Tavern 3 times since its opening and thought the food, service, prices and atmosphere were all terrific. The tortellini and chili queso were great, and I am definitely a fan of the classic rock background music and intimate lighting. I was incredibly surprised to see the negative comments on here, especially the irrelevant stereotyping based on the management's appearance. I thought the guys were extremely friendly and greeted me and my friends very warmly every time we've gone in. This is one of my new favorite hangouts and I've recommended it to others who feel the same.

Look all you like at the staff but I was told they stick to their own when it comes to dating. Maybe the poor service is because of lovers tifts. Soap operas are brewing for sure!

I have been to grand tavern twice. Once I sat at the bar and once I sat with my wife and daughter at a table. When I sat at the bar Sueanne waited on me. She is the biggest idiot I have ever met. She has no idea what she is talking about, she has a fake glued on smile and just nods her head. She adds nothing to any conversation, and then leaves to go screw up another drink. From a guys point of view, I don’t care how fake and big your boobs are, or how "pretty" you think you are, if you don’t have anything intelligent to say and you somehow manage to screw up a cosmo when you call yourself a “bartender” your a waste of space. Second, when I sat at a table, I had the worst service I have had in awhile. It took forever for someone to greet my table, the food was cold, I could see a blonde manager yelling at one of the servers right in front of customers (very unprofessional), and when my daughter got her kids ‘cheeseburger meal’ it was one lousy slider about the size of her four year old palm, and some fries. Are these people really that cheap? I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and I cant wait for these trashy owners to go out of business to they can finally put a real quality restaurant there.
