The father is in denial. He leaves the poor kid to kick it with grandma three generations away. The kid was a druggy and pop wanted to distance himself while living the good life in Arizona. Grandma should have cut the kid loose and not raised it to this level though. No matter now. Granny is 74. What are they going to do, give her life? So she sits around reading books and watching soaps just like she probably does now and with complete medical coverage. Maybe she can plea to something like "improper discharge of a firearm" or excessive noise in a community.

Plus he said he would not bother to attend the funeral.
We have not heard granny's story yet. She bought the gun recently to protect herself, ostensibly from the grand-kid. Thank goodness she did not fire into the floor or she would be facing time for sure.

Grandma was probably sending a message to the father, mister big shot divorce attorney who specializes in screwing women more than one way.

We still haven't heard from granny. She was way too old to be putting with a psycotic inbred.

This point should not be overlooked. So many times we hear about shots fired and only wounding the person or hitting someone up the block by mistake. This woman took her work seriously. When you pull a gun, shoot to kill, not make holes in the ceiling and walls.
