What does 7-11 insurance company say about this?
Their rates are sure to escalate and that's only the beginning (even with iron gates and bars on the windows and doors).

No, Skeeter, I'm not on meds and I don't need 'em....I face facts and call 'em as I see 'em. Sure, maybe you do need a gallon of milk in the middle of the night but that doesn't mean you should venture out without your kevlar vest!(It's called planning ahead...then you won't NEED to go out in the middle of the night!)

This probably didnt affect their insurance at all. 7-11's are not a really high risk for robbery. It is well know they have a complex safe system where the drawer is left with no more than $20 bucks in it at anytime. The workers have absolutly no access to the safe at anytime. So robbing a 7-11 is pointless. It would make more since to just mug a person walking down the street.

Andy, your remarks are true HOWEVER, why even consider building in the city that is overflowing with murderers, robbers, etc.? They'll kill the clerk! Even vending machines aren't safe.

Take heart. None of the proposed locations is in Detroit.
"The new stores in Southfield, Farmington, Livonia, Warren, and Eastpointe further solidify the region as one of 7-Eleven's most successful markets. Metro Detroit has more than 200 locations and is the highest-selling market for its popular Slurpee."

Where's this Xanadu guy from Idaho. He's obviously never been to Detroit or the Metro area. Sounds like what he knows about Detroit he must of learned by watching Robo Cop.

You don't know didly about crime Andy.
Many gas stations have safes too and they spawn robberies as well. It's the customers who become victims. They get trapped inside. They have their vehicles parked and ready for jacking.

But again, the new stores are not proposed for Detroit.
