I would not be suprised if this scam was orchestrated by a real Redford Township Detective using one of his "informants". Just recently a retired Redford Township 'detective' David Kutek was arrested for theft by the 'truckload'of engines and transmissions from the General Motors Hamtramck plant(it must be very tough to get by on a $70,000 a year pension!). This scam is very brazen and organized. Our Township Detectives have a very high standard of living they pretty much all live in $300,000+ homes thanks to the taxpayers. The Mi. State Police should investigate this crime we do have some bad seeds in the Redford Police Department that need to be weeded out. I would not be suprised if the Chief of Police got a $5000 cut from this crime.

Don't talk to the police and don't talk to anybody that pretends to be the police. Nothing good can ever come from talking to the police. Name, rank and serial number only. This is your right and it's there for protection.

Even the real police are not being friendly and cordial to you because they like you. They want you to talk. They want you to provide information. Your honesty can hang you.

David Kutek could of been involved in the scam . As the saying goes "once a thief always a thief".
