I am in desperate need of a second job and I have been applying to places for the past month. If anyone knows places hiring please let me know! I've been looking in Paragould and Jonesboro and have been told by about 17-18 places that they are not hiring. I am willing to work in factory but seems none is hiring! Please help!

Why don't you post your qualifications? If you want a factory job, are you an experienced equipment operator or is a broom more in your your range of experience? Do you have a high school diploma or a masters degree in under water basket weaving. Dang if you really want a job, let prospective employers know what your qualified to do. Since your looking for a second job, let a prospective employer know when your available to work. Also where is your contact information for someone to even offer you a job? Can you say, "would you like to super size that?" |

Can you say, I'm in nursing school, have a child and I have my Certified Nursing Assistant license. My part time job is in fast food, but too bad it doesn't have anything to do with Mcdonalds or even burgers in fact. And for the other comment about drugs, I have never smoked a cig or any other type of drug and I have never popped any type of pill in my life. I have a gold head on my shoulders and I'm just trying to look for a second job. Are you sure you aren't working in McDonald's or popping drugs? Seems like if someone asks for some job suggestions, everyone is so quick to assume they are druggies. |

I'm surprised you have time for a 2nd job if you are in nursing school, have a child, and already working a job. I hope you can find one, but I would hate to spend that much time away from my child. The problem for a lot of places, especially factories is going to be your availability. Factories typically don't hire part time, and also have to know you can work overtime. Many factories around here require that you can work OT even if you don't know until that very day. If you have a school schedule and a 1st job schedule for employers to work around, they are less likely to want to hire you. In addition to that, if you have to have particular hours due to child care, that is another issue. It is easier for them to say they are not hiring than to try. |

Have you applied for part time work at any nursing homes as a CNA? Some of them will work with your schedule. |
