Sun Belt is a football first conference and C-USA is a basketball first conference. Give it a few years and you'll have football schools in C-USA trying to come to the Sun Belt.

The sun belt is the lowest ranked overall conference. There are 7a schools in Texas and south Florida that could compete in the sunbelt. Winning the lowest ranked conference is like winning the 100m dash in the special Olympics, congrats your the champ, but in the end you are still a retard and made fun of.

Also, asu in the sec? Get real. They wouldn't use asu as a minor league system, much less let them play competitively. The talent level is a huge difference. The sec is considered the closest thing to the nfl you can get. The sunbelt is considered the closest thing to high school you can get. I mean schools like that get the leftover players or the ones who couldn't make the grades. Most don't even bother contacting 5 and 4 star players because they know it's a waste of time. That's why they never compete for national championships and get the occasional upset once or twice a year when a "real" team underestimates them.

But saying that any sunbelt team could hang in the sec is a joke to everyone in the world. The ad's at those school don't even honestly believe they could hang.

Ps: not a hogs fan. Just a realist.

The Sun Belt is not strong, but it's a long way from high school. Just as no college team could beat an NFL team, there aren't any high school teams that could beat any FCS or FBS schools.

You're right ASU couldn't compete in the SEC on a weekly basis right now with its talent, but neither can Arkansas, Kentucky and Mississippi State in most years. If ASU went to the SEC they'd get more talent as a result of being in the conference as does every other school in the SEC, it's a selling point.

Also, Bama, LSU and schools like that are getting 4/5 star players, Arkansas and the lower tier teams in the SEC are not. Look, Arkansas, Kentucky and MSU are in the SEC, the strongest conference in the land and are not getting top-25 talent.

Most schools in the SEC, besides Bama, LSU and Auburn have never competed for a national championship. In fact, schools like Arkansas, Kentucky and MSU have never even won the conference, at least in the modern era.

Not a Red Wolf an, just stating facts and reality.

Most SEC schools have never competed for a national championship? Bama, LSU, auburn, Florida, and Tennessee have all won a title in the BCS era. Before the BCS, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Georgia, and ole miss all claim national titles. Arkansas has won 3 western division titles in the 20 years in the SEC. People so quickly forget that just 2 years ago the hogs were ranked #3 going into the LSU game. People also are uneducated on the history of college football and forget how dominant the hogs were many years ago. They ignore the fact that Arkansas had more wins from 1960-1989 than any other college football program during that time.

They also ignore the success of former players and coaches linked to the frank broyles era. People like Jerry jones, jimmy Johnson, Barry switzer, butch Davis, and then several branches under jimmy Johnson. Lou Holtz wasn't always an analyst on ESPN. Before you lump Arkansas into a category with miss state and Kentucky, you better go back and actually do some fact checking and comparison.

I do believe that the are high school teams that could be competitive with lower tier sun belt teams. Also, those are the ones who have won all of the titles but the sec continuously has 6 of the top 10 teams. Also, miss state is always one of the he teams the national experts believe are on the borderline of being at the top, and Arkansas isn't near the top, but they are just three years removed from a number 3 ranking. As for Kentucky, at least they got basketball lol, that's all they care about anyways lol.

I forgot something else. Those other teams are getting top 25 talent. The sec has 10 of the top 18 recruiting classes in the country, including Kentucky at number 11.

All of the sec recruiting classes are in the top 38. That's pretty damn impressive to have an entire conference that highly ranked and all have at least 4 star players.

Me again,......

The sunbelt had 0 five star players, 0 four star players and just 9 three star players. That's for the whole conference.

Now tell me I can't find high school teams that have that much talent....

It'd be cool to see BYU in the sun belt too. They are another underdog team that shocked q lot of people by beating Miami for a title, but then fell off the radar. Rice would be another good edition if we could get them to join.

Neither would leave to go to a lower ranked conference. It's a business. That would be like walmart closeting its stores just to reopen as another version of family dollar. Only teams coming to the sunbelt are d2 teams that are trying to become d1 eligible. Or, and this is long shot, if conference USA imploded. Rice still wouldn't go to the sun belt though. More than likely would join the Mac or WAC.

Lol the sun belt? Arkansas has such a national prominence that if they left the sec then every conference would be trying to get them. Arkansas is the 8th most valuable football program in the country and that means they make a lot of money that every conference would love to get a a piece of. Arkansas alone is valued at a higher price than the entire sun belt conference.

BYU is a independent right and so they don't have a conference to pull money from. Plus I was just thinking of teams that are usually on the losing end of games. Like rice, temple, until recently baylor, and few others even air force would be a kind of cool addition.

I know about buy. And they would not give up independence and the ability to set a profitable schedule just to play scrubs. None of those teams you listed would join the sunbelt. It's a big money loss for them. Seriously, the sun belt can only really recruit teams from d2.
