Some reviews here are great, others are not. I am wondering if perhaps Cathy should re-evaluate the professionalism and knowledge of her nail techs, and replace them.
I garden and just can't keep nice nails but my daughter will be moving back in end of summer. We live on the border of Freehold and Howell, so this is informative.
Oh yeah, me again, i forgot to mention but i work on a farm myself so i know what you mean about the gardening, the girls at cathys have kept my nails functioning so i can waitress at nite during the summer after farming all day...and for reasonable money:) if that helps!

i was recently in this salon and noticed that there are no new spring colors. I know that 4 new lines just came out for the summer and hope that maybe the next time i stop in there, there will be new spring and summer colors. There are some people that just jive with lime green, yellow or hot pink on their nails or toes. Thank you for listening. but overall it was a really nice, happy place to escape for an hour.

I love this salon. Cathy always remembers that I am a tea drinker and offers me a cup as soon as I arrive. I know that when she first opened she had trouble getting some good workers, but now they are all excellent. It depends on the time of day that you go, sometimes it is loud and fun; other times it's quiet and relaxing. Either way they do a great job at a reasonable price ans the place is immaculate.

I have been to this salon, and they always seem very overwhelmed and unable to service you, even though it sayd you can "Walk-In". I have found the girls to be very nice, but proper business etiquette is not having the staff eating in front of people or discussing personal business. That is the oweners responsibility to take care of. That is what break rooms are for. Good service if you live locally and don't want to drive to far to get service.

What's the point of making an appointment if you can't get the person you ask for when you get there.

I recently went to Cathy's Nice Nails for the first time. I had a blast. The ladies were so nice talking about different things, and were not loud at all. They kept me entertained! I will definitely go back again and recommended them to my friends!!!

Yes, a "writing major" who has no idea how to use hyphens and has no clue how to use slang correctly. Keep it all up, girl, your class (or lack thereof) is showing! Maybe when you graduate you can write for a cheap blog about such illuminating subjects as reality TV stars!

I always enjoyed past experiences at Cathy's. Went in today and was treated very poorly by a woman at the front desk (not Cathy!) did not like the attitude she was giving myself and a friend for not having appointments. I don't expected to be treated like crap at a nail salon. Won't be going back. It's a shame because I live in farmingdale and have for almost 30 years, was so grateful to have a nail salon in my backyard. This salon should remember that walk in's and locals are probably most of their business and be more accommodating.

"anonymous" sounds like she has some serious investment in this company, perhaps a tech? Whichever it is, I hope you realize that being rude to someone on a public forum is not going to help the business in anyway.

Thank you all for your input. Things have changed for the better at the salon. I will continue to do my best in making sure our CLIENTS are the most important reason we are here. Happy Holiday! Love Cathy

I've been going to cathy for 5 years. Yes, at times, it's a little loud. But it's a small town atmosphere. I will say this. I was getting my hair colored and cut by a former employee. I followed her to her new salon for a year. Four months ago I called her twice for an appointment. Never heard from her. Went back to Cathy's. Met with her stylist Tom and I could not be happier. I had a consult with him prior to my color cut and highlights. He asked if I had prescription medicine that I took regularly, did I have well water? When I answered yes to the well water. He said "that changes the products I'll use on your hair. And this is the shampoo (Clairol shimmering lights) I want you to buy from Sally's. Best cut, color and highlights ever! Give Tom a chance.. You won't be disappointed. Going back this week. Love the guy:)

I tried giving this salon a try , it's on my way home from work. First I would like to say it's not really a hair salon per say it's mostly a nail salon. That should have been my first clue. I got my hair cut, it was not exactly what I wanted . I felt they didn't listen to my opinion of the style I wanted. I wouldn't recommend the "hair salon " part. But I might be back to try my nails

I went to Cathy's for the first time yesterday. I was welcomed and felt right at home. The salon is clean and attractive, Roxanne did a wonderful job, love my manicure. Cathy and the staff are friendly and professional, I would recommend this salon to all my friends and coworkers. They definetly have my business for a long time to come. Keep up the work, I'm looking forward to visiting again soon.

Place is AWFUL! I felt the owner Cathy was rushing the girl doing my pedicure.... While she was rubbing my legs Cathy just came over with hot towels. Guess she's about quantity not quality. I would not go back.
