W. Feliciana escapee caught in Farmerville

A parole violator faces felony theft and simple escape counts after he escaped Saturday from the West Feliciana Parish Jail in a stolen truck. Union Parish sheriff’s deputies in Farmerville arrested Timothy G. Millien, 30, on Saturday night after a relative reported Millien had arrived at his house, West Feliciana Sheriff’s Capt. Spence Dilworth said. The relative saw the escape report on a Monroe television station’s 10 p.m. newscast, Dilworth said. Millien, a state inmate with trusty status at the St. Francisville jail, had been working with a maintenance crew but took the Sheriff’s Office truck and fled about 7 p.m., Dilworth said. The employee who drove the truck left the keys in the vehicle and Millien persuaded a jailer to let him go back to the work area on the pretense that he had forgotten his cigarettes, Dilworth said. Millien, who has a lengthy criminal record, was scheduled to be released from jail in September. Sheriff J. Austin Daniel said at least two employees face disciplinary action as a result of the escape.

Who were the employees and did they really get in trouble. I am also shocked by the numerous jail breaks by parish inmates because of employee ignorance.
