Of course there had to be more than one fatality. Otherwise, it would just be "I Fest."

so where is all the negativity that 10,000 Lakes Festival would be getting. They would be speculating every bad thing under the sun. Two people die and it's just no big deal? Trust me, We Fest is a bunch of drunk a-holes that have less respect than the crowd at 10,000 Lakes Festival. There were no deaths at 10,000 Lakes Festival this year, and 2 at We Fest. Detroit Lakes welcomes We Fest, because the locals are more interested in country music (and because the locals are rednecks just like the cops).

Did you know that I found out on Manswers on Spike that studies say that Country Music is depressing . That or rap , and hard rock music . I do think it can be like soft country songs like like Alan Jackson songs and Garth Brookes songs are . And Whisky La la Bye by Brad Paisley and Aillson Krus . That's why I listen to rock music . I like to listen Nickelback , Hinder , Saving Abel , 3 Doors Down and Three Days Grace also Theory of a Dead Man . And I like pop music I like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera . I like to listen to every body in pop and rock mostly I guess . And rap .

It is really sad these two men passed away at this Festival. I do not get this, other than sin, a.k.a. debauchery, has its ramifications.

There were at least four deaths at we fest this year, but only two have been reported.

I don't understand why WE fest gets so much support and 10klf got shut down. I've been to 10k and everyone from the promoters to the attendees are all about staying hydrated and taking care of your fellow camper and if you see someone hurt to take care of them. I seriously doubt anyone mentions this at WE fest, which is probably how most people died. It basically seems like WE fest brings in enough money that they are willing to let a couple of deaths slide under the radar.

Yeah so a couple people died. You hear stories about needles everywhere at 10klf. obviously the people who passed either drank too much for their own well being..or they had a condition. Dont blame it on the festival. it brings so much money and attraction to the Area.

I've also been to 10k, where I was offered LSD and Acid in the first 15 minutes I was there. I watched a bunch of people take shrooms and acid drops, there were a few people walking around with pink fairy wings on their backs asking people if they wanted any "fairy dust." Not sure it's much of a double standard, there just happens to be 5 times as many people at We Fest. There was 2 deaths the year I went to 10k; One guy was found dead in a porta-potty with a needle still in his arm and another was found dead in the woods, face-down in a puddle of his own vomit.
I agree with some of the comments that We Festers generally drink more and get more crazy, but it's not because the 10k crowd is sober, they're just a different kind of messed up.
