Please dont run down all the teachers at P/W. The majority of them are great teachers and try their best to teach everyday. There are a few that are subparr as with every district. Mr. Manning and the school board of his era was the cause of P/W's slight downturn. Mrs. McClendoned is a beautiful person.

Some of the teachers at Palestine actually care if their students learn. It is the parents who need to try going to the schools and seeing how their child acts before they start putting down the teachers.

Worked with Ms. Ingram and she does not show favorites. She is a wonderful teacher. If you don't like her is it because she discplined your child. What you didn't like that well then you do it and she want have too.

I agree that there are bad apples in every school. My question is, has anyone else had problems with any of the 2nd or 3rd grade teachers there? What about the principal who is suppose to be a religious woman?(LMAO)

I hope Mr. Purtle can make changes and get rid of the bad apples. I am sure there are some teachers over there that deserve to be there. They actually care about the students and know right from wrong and want to keep their jobs. To those teachers, keep up the good work.

i do know that a friend of mine child started there in first grade an now is in the 5 an can not read but on a 1 grade reading. she has done her best to help her child but the child is haveing a very hard time an i think that child should have never made it to 5 grade i may be wrong but look if your child is in resource an still not reading than there is something wrong. so if your child is in school make them read to you .. i no you may be tired from work but take the time to help your children .. mine are all gone but one a is in high school in palestine. i would hate too know that my child could not read i never had a child with learning problems but still they are our children ..

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Sagittarius

You're in a strange mood, Sagittarius. You're feeling impatient and cross, and nothing is quite right. No wonder, with Mercury and Mars retrograde, under a Full Moon lunar eclipse! But is it necessary to be quite so contrary, so determined to do the opposite of what's expected of you? Try to sort out the problem sooner rather than later, then do something energetic and therapeutic so you can burn off your nervous energy. Then you're all set for a great New Year's Eve!
