Terrible service!Office staff are rude and incompitant. Choudhary treats you like you don't have a life and things to do. Your "problems" are the last things she cares about and if you need help, this is not the place to find or get it. If for some reason you have a emergency and can not make it a very sick child or loved one, they do not care. I wouldn't recommend these people for my cat much less a person.

Dr. Choudhary inappropriately prescribed heavy meds to my daughter, who ended up in the treatment center in Richmond. Dr. Choudhary didn't even bother to contact us to see how she was doing.

Office staff is definitely unprofessional and very rude. My daughter didn't have her co-pay with her but told them her Mom would bring it in later that day. The women was very nasty to my daughter even after she told her she had been having a horrible depression and suicial thoughts. The women said she should go to the emergency room because Dr. Choudhary wouldn't see her without the $20.00. I would not even take an animal to this practice.

Went to see Dr. Choudhary when my Doctor left the area. She wanted to change meds that have worked for me for 12 years. Very disappointed. She did not listen, instead she made several judgmental comments. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Strange, I suppose everyone has their own experience, but I have had good service every time I went and Dr. Choudhary was always very helpful. Whether I wanted to change meds or stick where I was she was very knowledgeable.

I had been shuffled from my PCP to another doctor for my anxiety and depression, that doctor never had anything to say to me,just handing me my pill script,he wasnt interested in anything other than a co-pay. They put me on every kind medicine that did nothing to help me.I did not want that type of care free way of my medicine being given to me. After one visit to Dr.Choudray, my anxiety and depression have been under control. I have had 5 surgeries in the last 18 months, and though I was able to share with her what I was going through, and she was able to provide me with simple solutions. She is mainly for medication and not deep therapy and she makes that clear in the first visit. I had spent a year with a therapist who did nothing for me,other than have me talk about all negative and then leave me hanging with no answers. So, I took things into my own hands, once again, and I follow my gut feeling. If your looking for a friend, shes not the one..she is a doctor providing a service. I haven't had issue with co-pay,though at one visit I did see a person who had a huge balance and a bounce check that had to bring account current before being seen. That is stated in their print out they give you concerning their billing.

Look, not everyone going to therapy is looking for a quick fix. We are actually aware that it takes time to work through issues/problems.The problem with this "Dr" is lack of professional behavior. This person AND staff come across as just flat out rude. Some of us are not looking to change our meds. Like above " already being on meds that have worked for 12 years " and someone wanting to change them just because they want to experiment on you is careless and wrong. Treating kids/young adults/adults like a number is not what this particular profession is about. I'm happy you pay your bill or co pay. The majority of us do. Maybe you haven't been with this "Dr" long enough to know how she really treats people. All I can say is good luck. Maybe this "Dr" has changed the way they treat people. I would hope so for the sake of patients. If not....this forum is to warn people about the way this particular office has treated THEM. Dr Swing was the best thing they had. The day he the day it
went down hill. He was amazing. So if you have been there long know the difference between someone who actually cared and someone who really doesn't. Just my opinion- I was there long enough to know and this person DOES NOT treat you like a human. Just a problem that needs to be hurried out of that office. Some of us aren't even looking for meds....just an unbiased opinion...hence therapy. Because it doesn't sound/feel right in our own minds.I think anyone that defends this "Dr" should just get a second opinion...just wouldn't hurt. Ask other professionals about her...they have opinions too. How can so many people be wrong?. But to each their own.

I went to see Dr Choudry after having horrible experiences at my Dr. in Richmond. I've had great care with Dr C. Office staff has always been very nice. NEVER, ever, been rude in any way. They did not seem to me to be money oriented but I've always had my co-pay. I have to pay 20% on top of that and usually it takes 60-90 days for me to get the amount and pay. Never had a problem. Dr C is up to date and well rounded. She knows her stuff and perhaps some of these others are just not hearing what they want.

I have been going to this practice for a few years and always found the best care from dr. Choudhary. She listens and works with you to come up with a clear treatment plan.
She's very professional, pleasant and easy to talk to.
I hope this review helps people who are in "real" need.

I agree, the customer service is definately missing in this office. I called the office for the first time and the receptionist was not only rude but very unprofessional. Even after requesting contact information she disconnected the call.

Great doctor. Always very professional & knowledgeable. Very happy with her treatment of my disorder-able to work full-time, have stable relstionships after many years. Highly recommend her office.
Sounds like people who don't want to hear her recommendations are the complainers. Don't ruin it for the rest of us.

Receptionist VERY RUDE!!! How can Dr.Choudhary not know!!!

Been there several times now, although the receptionist is a bit rude Choudhary has prescribed me the drugs I need to function at work and on a day to day basis. Other Doctors would never prescribe me drugs she is giving me. She has a very strong opinion and is judgmental but that is due to the person giving her a reasonable doubt, she is in fact very fair and makes good calls. Seems like majority of the complains (not all) were taking advantage of certain drugs now they are complaining when she calls them out on it. :)

I agree - the receptionist is quite rude and very short with her answers. She told me a story regarding her son and I could tell she was rude outside of the office as well. On the phone she was so rude to me that I ended up crying when I got off of the phone. Dr. Choudhary is not very personable, however she has found the right combination of drugs to help my depression.

My appointment was made months ago and it's finally coming up this week. I never got a reminder call and I actually had to call the office and ask if I had an appointment with them. Whoever answered the phone was very rude and sounded like she hated her job. I got a quick "Peak Mental Health" with a pause (as normally people say who they are and ask how may I help you). I'm not looking for drugs, as I've been on them for years and haven't had any issues so if this doctor just wants to be the owner of a candy shop, I'm out.
Scam they run

Hi everyone, I am so happy to know that I am not alone here with having troubles with the secretary at Peak Mental Health. I found Dr. Choudhary nice enough her self even though she is like most doctors she will spend about 5 min. with you at most then bill your insurance for a 30 min. Med counseling. The secretary there is horrible. I think the secretary and possibly the doctors there as well are running a scam. They set your appointment about 3 months out knowing most of us do have memory problems and other mental health problems. So the secretary does not call you to remind you of your appointment on purpose. So then you miss your appointment with out even realizing you had one then the secretary waits 3 months to send you a bill stating your payment is over due and know you owe the $50 for the appointment but another $50 late fee for not paying the bill on time which you never even received. If anyone else has had this same problem it would be interesting to hear from you please. I'm still debating on whether or not to pay this bill and you can not contact any one at the office either because the secretary will not answer the phone.
Patient for two months

I have seen Dr. Choudhary for the last two months (the initial appointment and a follow up). She seems nice and helpful; however, I had to wait at least a half hour each time AFTER my scheduled appointment! I can't believe they can't schedule more effectively. Also, I called to get the doctor to give me refills for a local pharmacy since my online pharmacy said they were having trouble getting my medication from the manufacturer, but they were closed for the Thanksgiving holiday so I left a message to call me back. This was last Wednesday and here it is a week later and they still have not returned my call. When I called them again, I started to explain what I needed and the receptionist said, "Hang on" and put me on hold for several minutes. I think she could have handled the situation a bit better. Been less brusque, I guess.

My anonymous and I have been going to Dr Chaudry for several years-medication management a 15 minute meeting each And in those 15 ( she always gives more) I received deep compassion, coping advice, and lots of tissues. There was was a change in long term office staff this is taking time, but being corrected.

Had one bad experience? Compare that our 24 or more.
