When Windwise member Ken Pottel heard that the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection had shut down one of Falmouth's turbines Tuesday, he was elated.

The Fairhaven turbines have yet to run at over 20 mph for an extended period of time.
The infrasound and shadow flicker have caused many to get sick in Falmouth. The population density should have ruled out Fairhaven turbines.
The original developer of the Fairhaven wind project at one time had secured two turbines it needed from the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, the same turbines that were eventually installed in Falmouth. The turbines used today in Fairhaven have no manufacturer setback regulations.
Governor Patrick has committed Massachusetts to a goal of installing 2,000 MW of wind energy before 2020. It's clear the renewable energy goal takes precedence over the health of the citizens of Massachusetts.
The state continues to ignore the sound studies done for the Falmouth wind turbines. The study has been refereed to as the smoking gun of noise reports : http://randacoustics.com/wp-content/uploads/2...
The wind project was approved by Town Meeting voters in 2007. The news reports through various media outlets that the Town of Fairhaven receives hundreds of thousands of dollars for the lease of the land for the turbines. Most residents would be shocked at what the town actually receives each year for the two lots of land. Is this worth the health of the citizens?

We were all told for years that smoking doesn't cause cancer.Today you look like a fool if you light up a cigarrette indoors around the general public.
We have all seen over 50 residents sick over the poor siting of commercial wind turbines in Falmouth. The local politicians at a meeting in October of 2011 in Barnstable said : "You have to break a few eggs to make an omellette"
The state of Massachusetts has a renewable energy goal to reach by 2012.The quickest way to reach that goal is through large "commercial" wind turbines in residential locations near homes.
The noise issues with these commercial wind turbines is well known world wide .
The state of Massachusetts for the past ten years has been producing only positive siting reports for commercial wind turbines through several semi-quasi state agencies. The reports are produced to convince the local select people that the commercial wind turbines are good for their town .The select people read the reports and believe the reports as the truth .In other words local unknowing local politicians get taken in by the bunco scheme .
The true test will come in Fairhaven ,Massachusetts were a legal battle has been going on for years over the installation of two turbines .Incidentally the two Falmouth wind turbines were originally proposed for Fairhaven but a lawsuit by the locals sent the turbines to Falmouth .How many eggs will they have to break to make an omellette in Fairhaven ? The eggs are the residents !
The Fairhaven residents understand that they are being made second class citizens under the new project that started at the end of 2011 on Veterans day. The Massachusetts constitution forbids the creation of second class citizens .
Fairhaven has ten times the amount of residents around proposed the 400 foot turbines almost 500 residents .This turbine is being sited 900 feet from one home !
Many residential groups have funded their own research and time after time have found fault with the missing information left out reports - Why is the state holding up noise reports about these turbines ?
Do you really think a 55 ton commercial wind turbine 400 feet high belongs in a residential community ?
