Will give then credit for tryin but i'm pretty sure the kids could go out there and do what they are doing on their own, been to alot of games all over and i've never seen such poor attitude from coaches especially the older team as i have seen from these coaches....if you don't teach fundamentals you can't expect the kids to win

I agree countrygirlatheart. a-town, I do understand that these coaches are volunteering their time to do it, kudos to them for that, but if they dont know what the hell they are doing, they need to stay home, seriously! A bad coach can ruin a kid forever! It takes more than someone being able to watch a football game on tv and know what is going on to coach a team. They shouldnt be so focused on winning the game. yeah, everyone wants to win but when that is the center focus, kids that aren't as good (yet) get left on the sideline. What are those kids learning a-town? You're a douche!

This weekend beats all to tell a group of boys who just had their butts handed to them that you are canceling all scrimmage games cuz they can't win regular scheduled games!!!! And I know this for a fact! How do you expect them to get better? If the only reason you are coaching is to stroke your ego that didn't get touched in high school why don't you teach these boys something right for a change by walking away when your hearts not in it for the right reasons!!!

maybe you with the opinions like meforpres should donate your money or time to fund raiser to higher better coaches and calling me a douche just makes me smile thank you i almost forgot what it is like there start up teams always have these problems people as time goes by the players and coaching staff gets better you should be happy to have a team. goodluck. and try to support the players and yes the coaching staff. they are learning discipline and forming life long friendships. not always about the score of the game. goodluck it will get better

A-town your last post was civil, thank you. I agree with you 100%. For the most part the coaches really do their best and play all the players regardless of their abilities. One or two on the other hand is driven by wins and when the games are lost, he yells and screams and threatens to cancel games. I apologize for the name calling but I wasnt trying to be a "hero" either.

sorry for the hero comment i use to coach and things just take time parents and players and coaches need to stick with it and over time all three will get better. goodluck with the season! p.s. how about them bengals!

My son plays for one of those teams. We have some great talent. His team has made it to the play offs all three years he has played. I do agree that some coaches are in it for the control. Yet, we have some great athletes and some coaches that are there for the kids.
