I think the school board should be elected they should have accountability to the people of the county. I know that the county gave the board money for teacher raises and the board used it in other areas other than cost of living raises for teachers. Harford County wants to have the highest standards but we are in the bottom half counties in terms of pay. If we want to keep good teachers in the county, we should be on par with the top counties so that we do not lose this vital part of our schools.
