Girl found dead in Prestwick Apartments on Leesburg Pik

Anyone have any more info on this, my girlfriend lives on the 2nd floor. The 29 yr old girl was found dead on the 1st floor and foul play was involved.

I live in that hallway. the word is she was bludgeoned to death. didn't know the girl, just passed her and her big boyfriend a few times. thousand cops and detectives here the last 24h. The way the appt is designed, u cant even hear your doorbell ring when your inside your room, so not suprising nobody heard. Hear muffled screams and banging around from all directions everyday 2. Scary shit.....

this is crazy stuff man...I live on the 3rd floor and cops were going door to door all day questioning people...are building was secure or atleast I thought

There's no more info on this as of today. Even if there was, you can't interfere with the authorities' investigation by blasting things on the internet.
She was my cousin's sister, and we are all very saddened and trying to deal with all of this.
For all on this forum, PLEASE be considerate to her friends and family. These forums have a strong tendency to turn political and very hurtful in the blink of an eye.
Just pray that whomever did it gets caught and punished.

I live at the Prestwick and I find it unfortunate that this occured and now security at the front desk is finally doing there job. They i.d. anyone that isn't able to enter the building and they're doing there rounds more frequently! A police officer came to my apt and asked me some questions which unfortunately were hard to answer. Children (and I mean big kids) make loud noise all hours of the night so unfortunately you wouldn't hear her being beat to death. No one heard her scream and it took place in the stairwell by the gym on the ground floor and led to her apartment with no forced entry so foul play definatly was involved and no one saw anyone. But downstairs at the gym there's a back door that used to always be left open and there are bathrooms down there as well and they're always dark and slightly ajar so anyone could've walked off the street and been hiding in there. And anyone used to be able to get in the building.I hope they catch him. My heart goes out to her family!!!

Does anyone have a concern that Fairfax County may have been using tax payer money to rent an apartment to a "transitional" recovering drug addict/alcoholic especially one who had been incarcerated for 6 years for a felony crime of violence.There is also information that residents were not informed that the complex was participating in a program that exposed them to potentially dangerous people with known past histories of drug and alcohol abuse. I wonder how many of these types are currently being "transitioned" and how many have criminal histories?
Who, in their right mind, would allow a person with Mark Lawlor's history to have access to other peoples property? The arrogance and negligence of whoever made the decision to hire him as a "property manager-leasing agent" is appalling. Those responsible should be held accountable including the Fairfax County Government.

I used to live there. NOBODY told me there were drug rehab people living there when I moved in. I found out on my own when individuals living next door that were in the program told me. Some of the individuals seemed very nice others scared me.
Does anyone know what apartment the young lady lived in?

I heard about this tragic news and my symphaty goes out to the woman's family and friends. This is such a tragic situation specially the man works in the leasing office.That is scary...I live down the street from there at a very safe community call Fairfax Towers. I lived here for 4 years and always felt safe. No matter what time i came home i never felt scared at all. We have a gate the closes at night so you would have to use a card to get in or call the front desk who watches the security camera at all hours and who stop every person that comes in to find out where they are going. I am glad that everyone in my leasing office are all females who are very professional. I highly recommend it here.

I've lived at pretwick for two years, and all in all it was a very bad experience.
I'm about to move out-partially due to the murder- and NO OTHER RESIDENT I TALKED TO KNEW ABOUT THE DRUG REHAB/TRANSITIONAL PROGRAM! I had never even heard of it until I read about it in the paper.
Horrible. So glad I'm moving.

For all to read, the corrupt Prestwick Management ( Karen Spaid and Jennifer ) covered the murder Marc Eric Lawlor who was the Super of this Trash Building.
After Rafael found out that Lawlor is the potencial Murder of Genevieve Orange he was harassed and discriminated by both named persons.
They fucked up Rafaels Life, in a big act of Revenge, and let him arrest by stupid Idiots of the Fairfax Police like ( Officer Sassano ) which participate from the corruption going on in the Prestwick by illegally towing of cars.
Advance Towing towed at this time all cars away which didn t have a permission or which are standing in the Fireline. Advance Towing is paying 50 % of the Towing Amount back to the corrupt Management of the Prestwick.
Covered by corrupt Police Officers like Sassano, she is participating from the Payback System.
After he was innocent arrested, those bitches made a false statement in Front of the Magistrat, that Rafael did a disorderly conduct in a public Place.

The only Thing Rafael did, was to inform the People and the Security and Concierge Bruce in this fucked up Place, that Marc Eric Lawlor got several records on Fairfaxunderground.com .

So Rafael faced a jailable offence and was harrased by those stuipd Idiots from the Fairfax Police ( Sassano and her fucked up Asian Coofficer ).

I would like to tell all readers, that Rafael left the USA, after he got health issues, caused by Criminals of the Prestwick which searched Apt. of all People, when they are at work.
This Management has stolen Money and Juwelery from Renters, while they have been at Work!

What do we all learn about the situation....

Criminals like Spaid, Lawlor, and Jennifer, Sassano, lead the Prestwick and fucked up other Peoples Life!
