Sorry about that! However, since she wasn't wearing a seatbelt, chances are damned near 100% that any insurance policies will be voided....it's called willful and intyentional misconduct"....and the family gets nothing, zip, nada, zilch!
I'm afraid she set a bad example, made a bad choice, and has (had) only herself to blame...maybe she shouold have thought about the kids and family wqhen she failed to obey the law, her insurance, and not buckle up!!!!9
YOU should mind your own business first of all they were wearing there SEAT BEATS and they did not only flip once but five times that is when the SEAT BEAT came off. GET A LIFE.

And as for you Mr. BilltheFriend I sure am glad your not my friend!!! You sound pretty cruel, heartless and disgusting.

This is the first time I've heard of 'Tread separation.' Car companies must first think of safety rather than cutting corners. A human life paid for it and I’m sure a lawsuit will follow and car companies will think twice before trying save a few bucks.
This is a life wasted away!

If it was a multiple roll roll-over she might not have been protected by a seat belt at all. The statistics don't lie - most people and many lives are saved by seat belts. But it's not clear in this case that she would have been OK - some more info or a pic of the car would tell the tale. Y'all don't have enough facts to come to the conclusion you are making.
Not that most new mexicans care about facts.
You are right the paper does not put in all the facts first of all they were wearing there seat bealts they flipped more then once thats when they came undone....

...have you been, under a rock? Tread separation was all the news a few years ago with Firestone and many deaths were attributed to it.

Rosa was an awesome person. Anybody that knows her, knows that she was a great mother and friend. We were blessed to have her in our lives and pray that Rosa rests in peace. Everyone needs to focus on our loss and not the all the negativity.

You must have been a classmate as well. The writing skills of the typical New Mexican are dreadful. I know that people are going to be angry about my comment, it isn't meant to be mean...but, I am astounded by the lack of education in these posts.

I lost my cousin and my brother is fighting for his life. All the negative people can just go to hell. And I thank everyone else for your support. The family is going through a rough time right now and we need privacy. Thank You

Ok LaToya, you'll get privacy when you stop posting in a public forum. The thing that upsets most of us is that their careless and irresponsible behaviour will only end up costing us more in insurance premiums.
Your family members were not wearing seatbelts, I was a paramedic for 14 years in NY State and I have been to accident scenes where cars have been hit by semis, cars flipped around like coins, victims shoes and socks have come off from the impact but I never saw anyone lose their seatbelt...it is IMPOSSIBLE!

to all those that got some bull shit to say about rosas death rather she had a sealt belt on or off come talk to me bout it and ill shut u up the fact is she was a beautiful and loving mother and that trip that day was she was coming to pick up her three kids so no matter the blame for the reason it was a sensless loss a tire miss hap, no seat belt does that make any sence a life, i got three beatiful kids now with out a mother so if u want to make stupid remarks think of these kids that are in a world of hurt right now and nothing i can do or say to take it away but hold them and let them know that im here and that each day will get through it so for those that want to send prayers up cover these kids cuz they need it

Elias,
We are wondering how the kids are doing. My husband Russell was related to Rosa and we were wondering if you could let JoJo give my son a call. He is wondering how his cousin is doing.
