Texting and talking on cell phones while driving has caused enough accidents and deaths. Utah has stiffened their laws regarding this issue, enforced after the unfortunate, tragic deaths of 2 rocket scientists in that state. They both died needlessly because of a driver who was texting and hit their vehicle as they were on their way to work.
As one of the wives mentioned in an interview, there is no call or text that is so important that it can't wait.
The videos should be watched to educate on the dangers of texting.

I am totally in agreement to ban hands- on cell phone use. Policemen are reluctant to push the subject because so many of them use their cell phones for private conversations. The police band is heard by everyone in the department and the poeple who have scanners so they either use the cell or meet up in a parking lot to discuss something that does not need to be made public.
