Anyone know where I can verify this story? I am very interested in this one and surprised that this January 2009 event is not listed at this website - another internet hoax?

It appeared in the Glendive Ranger Review and the Billings Gazette about a month or two ago. It was supposedly found in a hollow tree trunk along the Yellowstone and I think the person who found it was named Max Martell.
