I have read all these comments and have been in that exact area on seedoos with my kids and we also own a boat. The bottom line is: CLEARLY the 46 year old dude in the boat said he saw the girls on the seedoo and he knew the girls on the seedoo didn't see him in the boat THEN it is the boats responsibility to STOP meaning pull back on the throttle to neutral or turn the engine off and completely stop.

Why wouldn't you stop instead of risking a HORRIBLE OUTCOME What would you do? There are NO DO-OVERS... so why not just stop instead of let your pride get in the way.

I feel for all parties involved, but it doesn't make sense- if the boater had time to wave the girls out of the way, he had time to turn the boat the other direction. Previous statements say that the boat saw the girls as he passed under the bridge. The accident happened more than 6 lots from the bridge and no I didn't see the acciddent, just heard it and saw the after effects. I do agree that the driver of the boat did all he could to help, but as a boat driver experienced on the river you must be aware and sometimes just give up your right of way to safety. I guess only time will tell, I pray for the parties involved.

If the boat was turning into the pwc then how did the pwc slam into the bottom of the boat on the starboard side? And, hit it so hard that it broke the stringers of the hull totaling the boat? If the boat hadn't turned away the pwc would have landed in the boat killing the passengers of the boat. The operator of the boat actually saved some lives by his quick actions.

Its one thing to be making up excuses for the driver but please 'quick actions'. Get real! Quick action would have been like 'no do overs' said earlier, when he noticed that they weren't paying attention to him. Instead he continued towards them until it was too late to react. So please give up on the lame excuses. He obviously was either not as experienced on this river as you excuse makers have been claiming and was unable to recognize the potential danger he was watching or he wasn't truly paying attention to them.
In either case his reaction was far from quick.

Why blame the boat why not blame the pw maybe she had all that experienced and could not react to the danger u will never know what she was thinking and the cops won't either all they can do is speculate.

Abby, i was just wondering if you were there and saw the accident? it's a terrible loss and my heart goes out to the family and friends of these young ladies and to all the people that were there to try and help. it must have been just horrible for everyone that was involved. i'm sure noone is sleeping very well no matter who was at fault. two lives are gone way too early and nothing can bring them back. it's very, very sad and unfortunate.

the pw WAS moving, the girls had just jumped a wake from a boat, and the driver of the boat DID pull of the throttle just before turning the boat in hopes of avoiding the accident. all you close minded idiots need to keep your mouths shut! you are absolutely clueless. all you know of the accident is heresay from many people who are giving nothing but an OPINION!!!!. the girls caused the accident, it was unavoidable due to the choices they made and now their lives are gone. 3 families have been affected first hand and i know many more are hurting as well. can we please stop blaming the boat driver because he happened to be lucky enough to survive!!!!!!!!!! no one wants to believe that these girls died at their own hands, but face the reality, they are gone and nothing will bring them back. think twice before you make fault statements and say harsh things about a person you do not know and a situation you were not involved in. shame on you all!!
