Editorial: Outdoor bargains can still be found

Full story: Chico Enterprise-Record

Our view: Higher campground and day-use fees might scare some people away from state parks, but federal lands are still a bargain.

Here's some more advice.

Read your lease before you sign it, and then honor your committment - this might be your first business contract, and it can cause you some trouble waaaaay down the road if you don't respect it.

"This is not a big city. Most people are helpful and friendly, and you don't have to assume that defensive, even hostile mantle needed for survival in metropolis."

This is not a small town. There are predators, and places that are dangerous ... like the bike path along the railroad tracks between Chico State and Nord Avenue. If you end up alone there at night, bad things might well happen. There
was a rape there earlier this month, and a series of muggings earlier in the year.

I'm not a college graduate But I know a contradiction

If you put down the bong, it shouldn't take you 3 posts to express one little thought. Promise.

Sorry - that was rude of me but I don't own or need a bong. I was frustrated trying to get a point across about an editorial that warned students and when I wrote a post it went to this outdoor bargain thing.
It's just typical Chico ER incompetence with no one at the wheel again.

Apology accepted. I'd think anyone with uncontrollable anger issues DOES need a bong. My mistake.

.Thanks for accepting my apology.
I sometimes wish I could take a hit off of a bong but I'm subject to random's and its not worth losing a job.

Sorry for the technical glitches. This discussion thread is tied to the "Words of Advice" editorial (check the link to the story at the top of the page).

Unfortunately, there is a glitch that reads and publishes the wrong headlines and information on the discussion page. The E-R and its technical partners are aware of the problem and are trying to fix it.

Thank you for your posts.
